Biking Fever

Published by suzette under All, Mumbles

Ever since we moved into this new neighbourhood, we have been very crazy about cycling. This area is so condusive for cycling. Charsiu and Aiyu moved in before us, and have already enjoyed this for months.

Just before Christmas, DH bought this bike for me:

Bicycle

He texted me when I was in my final Christmas party in the company (ya, lost my job, in few months have to leave!). He asked me whether I wanted red or black bicycle. LOL! I couldn’t imagine how they look, so asked him to make decision.

He chose the black one for me. So, now I am the only one with black bike, amongst the 4 of us. All the 3 of them have red bike. LOL!

I didn’t have the chance to ride until when I got a chance on Tuesday this week. After Isabel napped, I sneaked out to ride a round. I was so thrilled to feel the wind and the speed, but didn’t really know how to use it.

Then on Christmas, Aiyu and Charsiu invited me to join them (DH looked after the kids in the morning. Thanks DH! Mmmm, muak!). Thanks to the couple, I know a little about biking now. :p

I am so, so, so… UNFIT! Riding a little already feel so tired. Hahahaha!

I am hoping that I will get more exercise with new healthier lifestyle. Also hope that I will cook more often. Already improved from last year but still very lousy. LOL!

Christmas Presents This Year

Published by suzette under All, Ian, Isabel, Mumbles

Due to the house moving, I have been too busy to buy presents. I bought my presents for the 2 kids last month, when I took a day off on my birthday. They are really cheap stuff, less than 10 Ringgit each, and the kids love them very much!

Here is Ian’s present - boardgame set, with 15 games:

Ian's present

All this while, he has been playing alone, not knowing how to play with others. I have been looking for games for 2 or more players, and until this age only I dare to buy boardgame (previously too young to understand).

And this is Isabel’s present - ‘beauty set’, since she really like to play with my accessories. LOL!

Isabel's present

Here is ‘Santa Claus’s present’ - Trampoline! Finally got it from Direct Access on Monday. :D

Trampoline

They love it, but…. LOL they don’t know how to jump! They played with it for a while and got bored with it. :p I will continue to encourage them to play with it.

Hmm… while I tried on this trampoline, I realized one serious problem I have. My pelvic floor is terribly weak! During jumping sessions, urine could flow out uncontrolably. This is all due to birth giving, and because I didn’t know I have this problem, I did not really exercise that mussle. Good to realize now than too late…

DH’s presents were late, due to busy with house moving as well. Isabel got a Barbie doll (in Rapunzel), and Ian got a Doraemon (which he doesn’t like at all!). No photos, lazy to shoot now… :p

Isabel settles in

Published by suzette under All, Mumbles

Last week I wrote about Isabel refused to go ‘home’, and insisted to return to the old apartment.

Given just 3 more days, she refused to leave the house in the morning. She wanted to stay in the new house. LOL! She changes her mind very quickly, just like how she decided that she doesn’t want to go to the school!

Anyhow, I am happy that she settles in and the house feels more like home now…

I need a few more things:
- A book case
- A TV cabinet
- A sofa
- Cook set for the new induction cooker
- Children’s bedframe (we returned to IKEA due to cracks in BOTH units)
- hmm… maybe a set of apron and gloves (for oven)?

Guess we will only be able to complete ‘move’ in CNY. DH is now doing the gardening. LOL! Since ’someone’ has volunteered, I am happy to sit here goyang kaki (shaking legs) and blog! LOL!

Christmas Is Coming!

Published by suzette under All, Mumbles

I really, REALLY, love Christmas. It is around the corner, and since our house is new (ahem! and in a mess), we waited till only today to set up the Christmas tree (although beside some junks, LOL!)

The kids are very excited with the decorations. I let them handle those decos while I did the lights, and the results…

Christmas Tree Ornaments

Heavy bottom! Also, they can hang a LOT of ornaments in just 1 branch. Hahahaha!

I have to re-decorate, of course, by moving to the upper parts that they cannot reach. It was so fun seeing the kids enjoy decorating the tree.

This is the same tree, recycled from last year. We are not the type that change Christmas tree every year lah! Still in good condition, what for?!

I took out the presents for Ian and Isabel and placed under the tree. Ian has very good EQ, he just wanted to know when is Christmas, and he can wait… But with Isabel, it was really a headache, made me wonder if I should have hidden her present! She kept crying, wanting to open her present! LOL!

Ian is very happy to leave the presents under the tree, as he sees it as part of the ornaments. He loves seeing a lot of gifts, even if they are not meant for him. :)

I wanted to get a trampoline for the kids, and tell them that it is from Santa Claus. But cheapskate me, don’t want to spend, I tried to claim from Direct Access. Unfortunately until now the item is still not available for pick up yet. :( I might miss the Christmas, so sad…. no gifts from Santa this year. LOL!

Sudoku Challenge

Published by suzette under All, Mumbles

Hehehe, this is so shameful… I dam-chou-chou (daring) go and join the Sudoku Challenge at Ikano last Saturday, and was knocked out in the first qualifying round. Not even qualified! * blush *

It was DH who encouraged me to participate, when the news came out. It is the second year MSIG organizing this already. Actually DH thought it should be fun, joining so many people in playing the same Sudoku grid.

At first, after I registered I didn’t keep this in mind (forgot). The first reminder email came in few weeks ago, no feeling yet. Then on Friday, I read another reminder email, got panic — ‘Oops! Tomorrow is THAT day!’.

Then, my long gone exam phobia kicked in. I couldn’t sleep on Friday night. Finally slept at… probably 3 or 4am? The next day morning I had severe headache. While waiting in the queue in Ikano, I yawned so many times.

Finally, when I was facing the grids… I had a chill in my backbone. Oops, that is NOT easy. And I have to complete it in 10 min time. With the emcee counting the timer loudly, I got more panic. My pencil was shaking and my mind was blank.

Then, 1 min to go, I still have half unfilled. Hahahaha! NOT QUALIFIED. That is it! :p

But quite fun lah, next year I must join again. :p
