Mama, you are FAT!!!
Sunday morning, Ian and Isabel woke up at around 8am, but I still wanted to sleep a little longer. They came and lied down next to me. Ian hugged me from behind, then touched my tummy.
He said, “Mama, why are you so FAT?!”
I responded, “Because I gave birth to the two of you loh.”
Then, he touched my arms, my back, etc. And said, “Mama, your everywhere is 肥 (FAT). Why everywhere of you is so 肥 (FAT)?”
I was so sad already… then he added on, “I think you really need to go 减肥 (on diet/ reduce weight) already. Why you don’t want to go 减肥?”
WAHHHHH WAAAAHHH WAAAHHH! I am so sad ler.
After lunch, when talked about this, DH added more salt to my wound. He said, “Ya, Ian, Mama and Daddy are the opposite, Daddy is F-I-T, and Mama is F-A-T, hahahaha!”
I think I should have better off married someone who is FAT, so I won’t be intimidated like that.
He has probably forgotten about me. Wait till he sees me again.

My kids always like to call me fat as well and so does their daddy.
Suzette, my boys have yet to say I am fat or anything.. But back then my niece of 5Y asked me the same Q’s… pointing at my flabby thigh… I was so so so paiseh.. I was heavily pregnant with no2.. So u can imagine I was realy really FAT!! Kids are just very straight forward..
Ask you hubby to take over ALL your chores (putting kids to sleep, laundry, etc) for 6 months so that you can concentrate on nothing but getting back on shape. You will be spending all your time at work or sleeping (not enough sleep makes some people gain weight cause it mess up your metabolic rate) only and he will be responsible for everything else that happens in the house till you deem yourself to be FIT again. See he (and the kids) willing or not ;p
Haha… I totally agree with Pei Wei. Kids are straight forward.
Just like my nephew. Keep asking her mom why 小姨 (Youngest Aunt) belly so big? Her baby came out from her belly long time ago, but why look like got another baby inside??? =.=|||
So I just told him “小姨 is FAT”
Aww…kids are like that. They are useful when you need them to help you decide what to wear for dinner. Better to ask the kids, than your hubby
Jason: Hahahaha! Ya, I think he might have forgotten you… such a long time since we last met. So, when will we have the honor to meet up again? I work in MidValley now, so if you are nearby, we can have a quick catch up, not necessarily having the kids in tow.
Pei Wei: Yaloh, but skinny is good lah, at least won’t be really laughed at.
MG/ Lynette/Pserdonna: So gek-sum hor? And so straight forward. LOL! But, the real consolation is that – you know deep in you, they love you no matter what!! And they probably love to hug us, because of the fat there! Cushion! LOL!
EMYYL: Wah! That is so true. We are now picking up swimming is our regular exercise and I think it really suit our schedule. We are also more relaxed now that new maid is here. I can at least swim twice a week, although the effect on tummy is slow, I am hopeful that it will help.
mumzzy: True, but most of the time they are bias because they love me. Whenever I ask “Mama look nice in this or not?” they will answer (almost 100%) “Yes! Mama you are the most beautiful in the world!” I think in their little mind, they see me as fat, but they love me so in their eyes fat doesn’t make me ugly? Dunno, hard to explain. LOL!
