Recall of Honda Jazz/Fit

Published by suzette under All,Miscellaneous

There is a recall for Honda Jazz/Fit manufactured in between 2002 and 2008.

It was reported that in some extreme condition, liquid/rain-water can seep into the car from the driver’s windows, causing malfunction at the switch to the power window. This can cause overheating, hence fire.

It was reported that there were a few cases of fire sparks, and in US one child was killed in the car fire. For more info, follow these 2 links (sorry in Chinese):

The recall involves many countries including: China, Japan, Brazil, Thailand, Malaysia and India. For your safety, if you own a Fit/Jazz, you better contact local Honda dealers.

I am glad that I have sold it, following the issues with failed gear box. I hope Honda learn something about this. They should have made recall on the gear box too, unfortunately that probably is less obvious as their fault, and received less publicity, they have just buried the issue.

So So So tired

Published by suzette under All,Miscellaneous

I have been coughing for 3 weeks already. Couldn’t sleep at night. :(

So so so tired.

Lots of work to do. Last week my boss was away, and just got back today. Lots of things on me. I just couldn’t catch up, couldn’t breath! And I didn’t deliver all the stuff that I supposed to. Panic.

Sigh! With children, life in agency is really demanding. Come back, brought work home, but the kids all wanted mommy’s attention, how? Settle them first, then attend to my work. So So So tired…

Hate it, night time telecons are coming back. Talking to the same people in my previous job. Now, they are my client. Last time I was their colleague. Geez. Can’t get away from telecon. :(

Okay, enough complaints. Head to my dreamland now. ZZZZZZzzzzzzzz…….

Steamed Blueberry Cheesecake

Published by suzette under All,Food/ Shopping

Yesterday I made this steamed blueberry cheesecake. Very easy to bake… oh, not bake, it was STEAMED.

Yes, so if you don’t have an oven at home, or think baked stuff is ‘heaty’, you can try this version.

Steamed Blueberry Cheesecake

It is very easy to make. Too easy that I doubted that it could be successful, but it did. The only complaint I have is the overpowering egg scent/taste. It uses 6 eggs, which is 50% more than what I normally would, for a cheesecake same size. So, if you want to make the same, do reduce to 4 eggs and I think it would be even better.

Isabel loved it. Ian hasn’t tried it as I am writing this post. LOL!

Mama, you are FAT!!!

Published by suzette under All,Ian,Miscellaneous

Sunday morning, Ian and Isabel woke up at around 8am, but I still wanted to sleep a little longer. They came and lied down next to me. Ian hugged me from behind, then touched my tummy.

He said, “Mama, why are you so FAT?!”

I responded, “Because I gave birth to the two of you loh.”

Then, he touched my arms, my back, etc. And said, “Mama, your everywhere is 肥 (FAT). Why everywhere of you is so 肥 (FAT)?”

I was so sad already… then he added on, “I think you really need to go 减肥 (on diet/ reduce weight) already. Why you don’t want to go 减肥?”

WAHHHHH WAAAAHHH WAAAHHH! I am so sad ler.

After lunch, when talked about this, DH added more salt to my wound. He said, “Ya, Ian, Mama and Daddy are the opposite, Daddy is F-I-T, and Mama is F-A-T, hahahaha!”

:(

I think I should have better off married someone who is FAT, so I won’t be intimidated like that. :(

Hate working in Mid Valley

Published by suzette under All,Miscellaneous

The ‘new’ job’s office is in MidValley. Since October, more than 3 months now, working in that jam packed area. Going to the office in the morning still alright, since not many shoppers would be there at 9am.

But going home, the moment we left the car park, jam started. On bad days, jam even started in the car park itself!

Last month, there was a Friday that was a Selangor holiday but not KL. So, we have to work, but the fellas from Selangor didn’t have to. I happened needed to go out for 2 client meetings, one in the morning back at 12 noon, another one in the afternoon back at 3:30pm.

The one in the morning was bad, but not too bad. The one in the afternoon… I almost cried. I had to drive coz the place I visited was hard to get a cab home. I had 2 guailou directors in my car, whom I must send back to the office. The moment we reached the ring road, we were stuck. The road leading to the car park was blocked, not even to the valet parking area. I was told to use valet parking because it would be impossible to get into the car park. But I just couldn’t even access to that area! I couldn’t even drop the 2 directors.

I was stuck in the jam to almost an hour, finally managed to drop them off, but I couldn’t get in and couldn’t leave my car anywhere.

Worst was that – my bladder was exploding! I had been holding it for hours due to that stupid traffic. I finally called someone to bring my notebook down, and left for home. I only able to use the toilet after another 45 min, at home. :(

I really don’t understand why people like to shop in Mid Valley. Going in is bad, leaving is also bad. The variety is limited. The only thing nice is probably choice of food. But would you jam all the way to just eat something that you can probably find in other places as well? Sigh! Next time I find a job, I must think hard where the office is located! Ahem!
