DH’s Birthday
This is a long belated post! DH’s birthday was mid last month. I originally planned to bake a Chocolate Banana cake, the Secret Recipe style, but because of this new job, and still without a maid, I just couldn’t spend time doing that, we ended up bought a very small cake from the shop.

I think it was some baked or Japanese cheesecake. Hehehehe, everyone said that my cakes taste better than the one I bought! :p
Well, it was so fun seeing the kids ransack the toppings. I normally won’t allow this, coz worry of bad habit, but I gave up!

We went to this shop for dinner, and it is famous for its satay. It is not normal satay, it is DUCK MEAT satay! Because it is special, so I also tried a piece lah! :p

Well, actually the taste and texture so so only lah. It is located in Desa Kepong, at the square near the mosque. The corner shopwhere we had our dinner is facing the wet market, but the satay is from the nearby stall. I heard that the stall was featured in a TV program.
So, that was DH’s birthday. My birthday is coming soon, and I managed to take a day off. I never liked to work on my birthday!! I already planned that I want to take the car for servicing in the morning, and then to do my hair (5 hours, the saloon said!). Maybe the night before, go to watch a movie… 2012? Hope I get to do things I plan now!! Ah, got to skip swimming that day, Piggy/Aiyu!

The cake looks yummy! Very well decorated.
Didn’t realise it was a home-bake till you mentioned it in your post. Care to share the recipe?
