Isabel’s Honest Comment
Well, my kids love macaroni with cheese. I have been quite adept in baking their favorite in red/tomato sauce, and have been quite good in making home-made red sauce using fresh tomatoes.
But then… recently they tried the one with white sauce at Secret Recipe, and have been asking me to bake every now and then.
I got a recipe in my cook book, so thought of trying this homemade cheese sauce. After spending some time in the kitchen, the aroma was so appetizing. Ian couldn’t wait to eat it.
As usual, Ian ate very quickly and when he almost finished he told me he is still hungry and wanted more.
But my little princess… initially ate quite quickly, but I could see that she was devouring the mozzarella topping. After that cheese topping was gone, she ate slowly… and then suddenly she said (to herself):
“The one in the shop is very nice. This one at home is not so nice.”
Waaahhh!!! But honestly, I also dislike mine. Too bland. Lacking ingredients. Only prawn. Next time, I will put in more seasoning, and maybe some mushrooms and fishballs…

Jazzmint: But sometimes they are inconsistent. In the same shop, one week it can taste horrible (almost like mine), but the next week it can be so delicious. Maybe cream cheese is more challenging than tomato. LOL!
