Ghost Oppression?
Have you experienced the so-called ‘ghost oppression’ before? It is the phenomenon when you ‘wake up’ but found that ‘something’ oppress you, and you cannot move even your finger at all?
I read this many times, and have this fear for many years, although I doubt it is really ghost that causes this. For as far as I can remember, I never sleep facing up, because of this fear of ghost oppression.
Few days ago, saw from Adrian’s FB post, then only found out that it is scientifically called the “Sleep Paralysis“. And has a scientific explanation. Go have a read on what it is…
You’ve awakened into the dream world.

aiseh man…at first tot u had experienced it tim..hahaha..i will read on..wanna find out about it too, as i kena b4 during my secondary school time. spooky lah.
It happens to me all the time.
I’ve also experience this but I was on my side lying on a couch and not even sleeping. Not sure I would consider it that, but another co-worker experienced the same thing in that same couch. We never lie on that couch in the lounging area since then. After a while , we learnt that the basement where our lounging area was, used to be a morgue! OK not sure if there is any connection but it was freaky.
Maricris: Yeeek! That is surely creepy. You were not even sleeping and it happened to both of you on the same spot, that sounds scary. I tried to avoid being oppressed, and from most readings, it happened when faced up, so I always lie on my side trying to avoid that. Now your experience tells me that my assumption is wrong.
MG: Really? ALL the time? How frequently? Can you describe a little bit?
Pei Wei: Hahahaha, you must be disappointed. Can you share a bit of your experience ah?
kekeke my pleasure to share it here
A lengthy one ya. It happened when I was alone on my mom’s bed, on a bright morning (around 8am++). I was sleeping on my right side (who say sleep facing up only kena leh. hehe) facing the window. At first, I felt somebody coming to me from behind, the empty space on the bed. Can feel the mattress was moving a bit. Then I heard my dad’s voice saying “aiyah, why u didn’t put on a blanket?”. Since it was my dad, I just ignored, didn’t open my eyes at all. Then suddenly I sensed a big black shadow thingy on top of me, at the same time my body started to shiver. I couldn’t move my body at all, felt like being pressed down. My body continued to shiver and I wanted to scream out loud, but i couldn’t. That was the most horrible moment I had. I kept screaming non stop, still no sound at all. This continued for about 1min+. After that, things back to normal. I could turn by body. I got up, checked the room, noboby except me. Scary man!! Few mths later, even when I slept on my own room, I experienced the same. Then I knew the trick to stop this. Each time, I will have the shivering feel first. During the shivering time, if I immediately open my eyes and stay awake for a few mins, it will go away. All these took place in my old house in Segambut. My eldest brother had experience this kind of weird spooky thing too. From then onwards, I wouldn’t want to sleep on my side!!!!
So far, in my mom’s new house (5yrs staying there), no such crazy thing take place. Thank god
Pei Wei: Scary man! Esp you heard someone talking but no one there actually. That is surely something not just sleep disorder liao! How can the scientist explain this?
hmm…scientist might say I have hearing problem cum sleep disorder then
