Transformer ROTF
Yesterday I brought Ian to GSC 1U to watch Transformer ROTF. He is a Bumblebee and Optimus Prime fan. Initially I didn’t play to bring him, just wanted to watch alone, but DH said since he is a fan I should bring him. So, I thought why not?! I regretted, half way through the movie – too violent for him!!
Anyway, we were late to collect our booked tickets, coz they have 45 min condition, i.e. you must collect 45 min before show or your booking will be expired.
So, we had to queue up. I don’t mind doing that as long as the tickets are available. But then… the queue was just so long, even going outside of the designated area. What caused the queue so long, is not the number of patrons, but –> ONLY 2 PERSON WORKING out of the so many counters.
We queued for about 40 min. By the time it was our turn, it was already 3pm, so I bought 4pm ticket.
When we went in at 4pm, we watched 20 minutes of advertisements. Yes, TWENTY MINUTES. I could have picked up the 3pm show had I know this.
Ian kept asking when would they start showing. And at the end, the show ended at 6:50pm.
I don’t like this one, compared to the first. There are so many things that I don’t like about it…
First of all, the lady Decepticon – Alice (Isabel Lucas) is so out of tune. Okay, I’m not familiar with the original Transformer comic, but this woman does not look metal at all, right? I thought all Transformers are supposed to be metal based (except the tire, no?)? That character sucks.
Then, the ancient Decepticon that turned side to Autobot is also something for laugh. Okay, his sacrifice at the end is critical for Autobot’s victory. But this thing about him getting too old and rusty sounds really disappointing for one that adores Transformer so much – they are after all just like human – even using a walking stick??!!
The resurrection of Sam is also another joke. Ian asked why he can come back after death, I just had to lie that he didn’t die, he just fainted and slept, and that was just a dream… Geez, if the ancestors of Primes can ‘kick’ your soul back to your body after death, why can’t they kick Optimus Prime back to life? Crappy.
In addition, what made me nearly vomit (YES, REAL vomit) is the camera that keeps spinning around Sam and Mikaela. It keeps spinning around them when they hug lah, kiss lah, whatever lah. It made me so dizzy having seated somewhat near to the screen. It really made me nausea for a while. And then, it spends so much of time showing the couple. Sigh! I don’t want to see them lah, I want to see the Transformers. Also, Mikaela’s role is really a “flower pot”. She really doesn’t need to stick around with Sam when he runs away. “toh-sao-lan-giok”
Overall, I still prefer the first one. This is always the problem with second…

It’s rated PG13 and was stated so. They informed you even before you buy your tickets.
That robot in disguise hot chick is just another spy. It is a little out of tune, but heck, they are robots made up of computers, why can’t they do just that?
After all, they can transform. Haha.
If they don’t get old and die, the universe will be over populated by Transformers. Haha!
They just aged veryyyyyyyyyyyyyy slowly.
Nobody seems to be complaining about Megan Fox’s role except the girls. LOL.
Jason: Ya, about the PG13 is obviously my oversight, not blaming the movie on that. But that Alice character is really out of tune – where the material of her flesh comes from? Yes, after all they transform, but they are METAL – as in their Chinese translation, you see. I really dislike that… As for Megan Fox, she really kenot act lah. I can say that you guys are only looking at hot chics, ‘eyes eat ice-cream’ mah! LOL!
i went GSC for this show with my colleagues last Wed. you are right, services @ GSC 1U is really sucks!
we bought the ticket online few days before the show (paid extra somemore. our ticket cost RM11.50/tic), but guess wat, we have to queue so loooooooonnngggg just to collect the ticket. it took us about 35-40 mins!! what is the point to buy online if we have to queue that long?
The food counter also another queue that make us sick! only 4 ppl taking care 2 counters (they have more than 2 counters. why can’t they open another 2 for the crowd?). and imagine they work so so soooooooo slow!! the queue is like doesn’t move at all!! ended up we have to “da bao” A&W for our dinner instead of buying the GSC food (i don’t care whether they will stop me entering into the cinema for buying outside food or not. if so, i don’t think i can control myself for not screaming at them!!!).
Dot: Huoa! That really sucks… For the same movie? I actually voiced out to the man who manned the counter, that they should put more ppl. Guess what? He said, “don’t know, just less people working today”. So, it wasn’t just “today”, but all the time? Hmm…
I want to say in Short Term “Nothing New previous story far batter than latest”
