Questions that Drive Me Nuts
Today, just before bed, Ian shot me a series of questions, one led to another, never ending. I was going crazy. Couldn’t stand this just before bed time, because I was dead TIRED! Got to be very patient!
Ian: Mama, I am scared to dahbian (poo poo). The black ants are there!
Suz: Don’t worry, I killed all black ants already. Also, this type won’t bite you.
Ian: Okay, mama. But the red ants bite right?
Suz: Oh, that type, yes they bite. If you see them you got to go away.
Ian: What about white ants (termites)?
Suz: They eat woods.
Ian: Why they eat woods?
Suz: Err… that is their food and they like to eat woods, just like how you like to eat rice.
Ian: But how do they eat woods?
Suz: Use their mouth lah! Ahm, ahm ahm, like that lah!
Ian: But HOW? How can they eat woods?
Suz: They have very strong teeth and they just eat using their teeth loh.
Ian: Wood has very nice smell ah? White ants also like fragrant food?
Suz: Ya lah, who like to eat smelly food?! Like your shit?! (he was passing motion when he asked those questions, and really smelly!)
Ian: But the house flies like to eat shit wor…
Suz: Err… ya, you are right, but those are house flies mah! You asked me about ants, right?
* sweat *!
At that point, I almost gone crying. LOL! Children’s questions really difficult to answer. The older Ian gets, the more challenging questions coming out from his mouth.

jazzmint: Yaloh! Beh Tahan. Actually there are many more in between, I cannot remember liao. I sometimes really wonder what goes on in his little head. From DahBian can lead to ants. And from ants, he can ask about fragrance. Hahahaha!
