Ian’s Birthday Celebration
Tuesday was Ian’s birthday. I bought a cake for him to celebrate in the school during the morning break. It is a Ben10 cake. Paid a lot more to get the graphic – RM100 in total (cake and graphic)!!! I bought it from De Pastry Chef at Menjalara. We can choose our choice of flavour inside. They recommended blueberry, so I took it despite that I hate blueberry.
This cake shop is the only one that opens early in this area, at 8am! The moment the teacher opens up the cake, there were so many ‘wow’s! (Really no idea what makes Ben10 so popular amongst kids nowadasy!)

Teacher keeps saying, “Ian, you see your mommy loves you so much!”
Hmm… a cake means so much? I really wonder… :p Oh, BTW, the blueberry cake inside tastes so well! It is not the usual blueberry that is actually made of vanilla cake layered with blueberry jam. This one, the blueberry is mousse/cream form, that actually looks like yam more than blueberry. It tastes so soft and yummy! I loved it. :p
Then, at night, we celebrated with this Chocolate Indulgence Cake that I baked myself. I baked it for 2 days!!! It is such a tedious and difficult to make cake. I am not good at decorating, so it didn’t look good.

I was so worried whether the cake works or not. The last time I baked a birthday cake, it was such failure that Ian said ‘Yulk!’
I was so glad that he said it is nice this time, and so did others. But to me, it is really too sweet. I couldn’t control the sweetness, because it comes from the dark and white chocolate!!
Well, I don’t get to do this for my kids very often. This year, happened that I just lost my job, and have a break at home. I am hoping that next year I would need to take leave for this (meaning I’ll have a job)!!

So pai seh, now only I know there’s something called “Ben10″, hahaha!
Yiwen: hahaha! Actually until now I still don’t know what this ben10 all about. It is just so ‘hot’ amongst kids nowadays. This is called – Generation Gap. :p
