Sunday night, Aiyu and Charsiu came over to show off (ahem!) Aiyu’s new K2 inline skates. They actually wanted to pursuade us to join them.
Couldn’t refuse the temptation, I went to buy a set yesterday (after my car got hit by someone).
So, here is my new toys!
The shop has a promotion on only this model this month – only for women. The normal price of this pair of K2 skates is RM417. If buy a set of protective gears, we can buy this pair at RM315. The protective gear that I chose is RM120, with 10% discount coz Charsiu is now a member.
Well, actually this is not the first time I get in touch with inline skate. Many years ago, like maybe 20(?), I have tried on Rollerblade. My cousin has a pair and I tried to learn using hers.
I tried many times and I kept failing. I gave up after many falls.
I am actually quite worried when I bought this pair. I’m not sure how long it will last, given the past bad records. Furthermore, I am never a sporty type. I am err… cacat bola. When I played any sports, the balls hit me instead of me hitting them!
Hopefully pairing up with Aiyu, I can last longer.

This morning, after sending my maid to MIL’s house, while stuck in a traffic jam going home, suddenly a lout BANG!
My immediate reaction was – Oops! Did I hit anything?!
Nope, because I still maintained a very good distance from the car in front – not too near and not too far.
So, it was the guy behind me. He signaled me to stop in fron at the bus stop. I saw that he has a young girl at the rear seat and it was a busy traffic so I also stopped (thank GOD nothing happened).
Apparently he was distracted by his daughter, asking for something in the car. DH came to help me, and I left the negotiation done between the men.
Here is my car’s damaged bumper:
The car boot cannot be closed properly. So, all the way, I got this warning signal:
Hate it, don’t like to see any warning light. DH will likely send this for repair much later. So I will have to bear with this for a while!

I can’t believe it. I am fighting with my son on this copy of Picture Bible
:

Someone recommended this as a starting point of understanding the bible story. I have been trying to read bible story for… err.. shamefully… 8 years! And I still couldn’t read past the book of Genesis.
I bought this Picture Bible from CanaanLand in CentrePoint. It is so easy to read – it is actually a comic! :p
I am thinking, let me start with this, know all the stories first and I will go back to the complete version and start over.
Oh! BTW, Ian is so interested in this copy than the Children Bible I bought him much earlier. I think this is really a great choice as a starter, especially for children!

Gosh! As I thought Ian’s sickness is over, it came back (or never did really go off). Not only that, Isabel started vomiting this evening too!!
Ian actually stopped vomiting on Thu, but only for 1 day. He was at MIL’s house on Fri, and ate some oily food – chicken rice, cheese and chocolate. That night he threw out everything just before sleep.
Today, just before dinner, Isabel started complaining stomach ache. At first I didn’t think of it as a sign to vomit – then just before entering our car, she threw out everything – from lunch. Apparently lunch food still in her stomach.
Then on the way to SIL baby’s fullmoon dinner, Isabel threw out again and again in the car.
At dinner place, Ian refused to eat – also a sign of something not right. Isabel continue to vomit all the way home.
At home, we switched off all light to observe Earth Hour, and Isabel fell asleep on the couch – that’s the only time she wouldn’t vomit.
Then, Ian’s turn!! I thought since he didn’t eat anything at dinner, he won’t have anything to throw out… I was wrong. He threw out all food from lunch.
So, I am now sleeping on the floor in my children’s bedroom again, and writing this post from my handheld.
Luckily no sign of dehydration YET!

I have so many books and it was a bit hard to decide which one to pick after I finished the previous one. Finally, I decided to use one that I have the least expectation, since I was going on holiday in Hong Kong (usually on trips like this, I can often spoil a good book). I picked up Where Are You Now?
, by Mary Higgins Clark.

After my last MHC’s book, I kind of tired with her writings. Quite predictable and the characters in all books are quite similar. The reason I picked this book now, is that I need something a bit brainless for my holiday, hahahahaha!
Well, compared to No Time for Goodbye, this book is much weaker in terms of its plots. But MHC is still good in capturing reader’s attention all the way till the end, although the plots are quite predictable.
From the beginning, I knew the end, except that I wasn’t able to guess who is the killer. LOL! Quite entertaining but not very great.
