ai-ling: actually this is one of the benefit of having a daughter, right? I was hoping to go shopping and facial and spa with my daughter… ahem! if she doesn’t reject me joining! :p

honghong: HAHAHAHAHA! This is so wicked but funny! I can imagine my son doing this on my daughter, just like how you did on your sister. LOL!

While it’s true that kids learn by immitating what elders do, we shouldn’t forget that time has evolved too. The type of food they eat, and the amount of exposure they get all affect their cognitive levels. Thus, the kind of things they immitate would also evolve, AND the type of comments about your dress code or make-up (innocently doing so) – often embarrassingly in front of others – is an indication of that evolution. A few months down the road, your 6-year-old kids will tell you, “mom, you’re one helluva blogger” – or it’s already happening now

kids learn through observation and they pick up things very fast these days. my elder kid who is 6 would sometimes comment on the colour of my lipstick: mommy, your lipstick is too light / bright for you )

Oohhh, lipsticks at 2 yo! Hahaha! She always wanted but I tried not to give yet. :p Afraid she swallows. Hahaha! But you are right, she also very curious on my toe nails art now… soon… very soon… she will be asking for the same. I think she once took the magic pen to draw on it, but I didn’t take photo.
