Want to buy this blog at $20k+?
Few months ago, I took a test for fun, to check out how much this blog worth. It was $22,581.60.
Last week, I discovered another test site from JohnChow’s blog. In My Blog Value, instead of submitting your URL, you answer 19 questions (which doesn’t seem many when I was doing!), which asks about your traffic, your Alexa ranking, how much you are making right now, etc.
And here is the result for this blog:
It seems inline with the previous test. So, would you like to pay me 20k for this blog? Maybe I will consider… Hahaha! :p This is really for fun only lah!

Dunno about this here test… tried it just the other day, and answered as truthfully as I could - though it was rather humiliating, since our blog is very new and little-trafficked. Yet they generated some ridiculous number - pretty much in the region of what you were pegged at.

Eh, I answer those questions with no PR and very high Alexa. My blog value came out to be over 1,000,000…true or not??!!!
When the software tells me my blog is worth over 1 million, I know it’s credibility is ???

cloudster: Ya, I think to answer the questions, it can be quite subjective. For example the estimation of traffic growth - is it for a month or a year, and how accurately can we predict our traffic growth? If you put 1k for 1 mnth and I put 12k for 12 months, that would mean a lot of difference already. So, I still think the technorati tool is more accurate. After all, after I tried the technorati stuff, it is $1k more than this tool - pretty much closed.

Michelle: Hmm… not sure how you answer those questions, when I tested your site at the technorati tool, it shows 22+k, similar to mine. Maybe after all this tool is not that accurate, too much of subjective stuff.

Well, I did the test again, and mine worth 216k now. Just a slight change of answers can make such a big difference. For example, just two questions: the growth in next 12 months, the % of potential utilized. I think this stuff is just for fun, to make one feel good. LOL!
