In the school, Ian’s teacher always teach them to make cards for us. We received cards on Mothers’ Day, Father’s Day, Christmas, Valentine’s, Chines New Year, etc. The school teacher is very creative in using simple shapes that a 3 or 4 y.o. can manage to make great cards for us.
And then, last week I was told his teacher Susan is leaving. Today, 30 June, would be her last day in school.
DH thought of asking Ian to make a card during the weekend for her. But then, the two of us are not good at this. We know how to make complicated and nice cards, but not something so simple and manageable by a 4 y.o. Okay, DH is better than me in this, so he helped Ian out.
Dadadada! Here is the card Ian made. Front page:
And here is the inside page:
Do you notice something funny?
No? You can’t find it? Okay, have to highlight to you, I missed it when DH asked me to see the first time (wasn’t focusing – busy distracting Isabel!).
What is the fuels efficiency of your car (or better say – your driving)? To calculate your fuels efficiency, use the total km traveled divide by total fuels consumed in liter. You will get km/l. Some people calculate it the other way round – the concept is the same. So, what is your fuels efficiency in km/l?
My highest efficiency is 14.8 km/l. It used to be 12.8 km/l, if I am not following the tips. In good condition, I used to go up to 16-19 km/l!!
With the recent fuels price increases, I heard a lot of ads on gadgets improving fuels consumption. I bet these things cost you a fortune, yet not sure how effective they are. Why these gadgets were not known or installed in OEMs if they are trully effective? Also, if they are real, why oil companies and racing teams spend millions in research on this – bear in mind fuel efficiency can help a team win a race!
Hmm… for some parents like me and DH, weekends are usually busier than weekdays. We tend to get more tired and occupied during weekends.
These are the days that we spend time with our kids, entertaining them; at the same time rushing to complete personal errands, with kids in tow! LOL! We often get bogged up with so many things in our diary, that we might be double booked and forgot about!
For instance, few weeks ago, on 1 June (Sunday), I forgot that we promised the kids to see the TUDM (Royal Air Force) exhibition of jet fighters. I agreed with my sister to meet up in the morning to pass her my old handphone. Sorry sis, I flew kite!
Anyway, here is a video to show you what a stunt that we witnessed that day…
Well, it is not cosmetics or travelers cheque. It is not what-you-call the emergency nail saver, hand lotion, etc. They are these:
Well, of course there are other things like multiple electric adaptor, travel charger, etc. But these 2 are less common for most travelers, so I just want to share it.
The first one is a mini MAGLITE. This was given by the previous department head. It uses 2 AA batteries to power. It helps most when you travel to places with unstable power supply. But then, I seldom go to places like that. It came in handy when I went to Pakistan last year. Even in a 5-star hotel, the power can just go off every 5 to 10 min in the morning (6am), when the sky was still dark. Without this, you can easily hit into things or get scared (like me)! :p
I’m sure most of you are aware of the previous surveys on sex, by the famous condom brand. Have you ever wonder or doubted the survery results? I remember hearing people said, “What? That is not true!” so many times!
Okay, here you have a chance to change the results - this is another round of Malaysian Sex Survey. I don’t know who is the sponsor, as usual all sponsors are kept secret as they do not want to bias the brand awareness answers. What I can tell you is, this is a genuine research.
You can click on the link here, to participate in this survey, only if you are a Malaysian (though). Hurry, they have extended the survey for the next 36 hours only (I got to know about this too late)!
