Bumblebee vs Blackout
I bought so many things from eBay during the last few months. Well, there are 2 factors why I did that…
1) Money earned from blogging doesn’t seem real, and I don’t really feel a pinch on that! :p (very bad!)
2) My friend in US helps receiving the goods, so I save a lot in shipping.
So, I ended up buying this much…

There is a Taboo game set, 19 books (1 hardcover), 5 Transformer toys and a Sakura best friend robot. Actually there were supposed to be 6 Transformer toys. My friend claimed receiving them all before I arrived. But when I checked, there were only 5. Seriously, I was very disappointed coz it worths $20. Either she lost it, or miscounted it, or the hotel staff has stolen it. Whatever it is, it is hard to trace back. Even if it is the seller sent one less, I can’t tell which seller, coz the missing item is a duplicate I bought from 2 different seller! A bit unlucky this time.
I gave 3 books to my friend as I’ve read them before (it was a bulk purchase). Love the Taboo, but have to find enough people who know English to play. Out of the 5 Transformer sets, 2 are of lower difficulties – 2 out of 4. And the rests are 3 out of 4. So, I gave Ian these 2 easiest ones – Bumblebee and Blackout (helicopter)

Ooh! Ian loved it so much, he kept saying he loves me! Well, as if he only loves me when I buy the toys for him! LOL!
This is a set of dual unit – the battle scene of Bumblebee vs Barricade (police car). Actually I love this set the most, and I really would like to keep for myself!

And these are 2 Bumblebee – one the old 1974 and the new 2008 Camaro.

Since the easier bumblebee Ian has is the 2008 Camaro, and the one I intend to keep (battle scene) is the 74 Camaro, I will give the 74 Camaro to SIL’s fiance and keep the 08 version. His Bumblebee was stolen when his house was broken into few months ago.
The missing one is another 74 Camaro, which I originally intended to use that as an emergency gift when I have to attend any birthday party!
Come to think of it, am I keeping too many toys? There would be 2 with difficulties 2/4 and 3 with difficulties 3/4. And there are 3 Bumblebees, 1 Blackout and 1 Barricade! Maybe I should keep one Bumblebee as gift? But I love them so much! Now you can see how I am obsessed with toys, even more than my son! :p Charsiu, now you see the toys, happy?

I go through phases where I buy a lot from Ebay, then I won’t for awhile. There are some great deals out there, but then there are some who really take you to the cleaner on the shipping. I lately have not had the time to surf around and find any good buys.
Hubby and I love Taboo! Too bad we don’t come back often enough to play. I have a set myself, still unopened. It’s hard to get like-minded crowd to play. There seems to be a general feeling of “uncoolness” if one play board games. Sigh. Have you heard of Cranium? It’s quite fun too.
Ahhh, I think you are keeping so many toys.
anyway, I love your information. Thanks for your post!
Yeap I love bumblebee too. Hasbro.com is only selling for US9.99 but apparently out of stock. I got my son a few too.
NZ: hahaha! You are right. Some of the seller’s shipping is scary. You just need to surf around carefully and read all the conditions. Sometimes you can find gems there!
EMYYL: You love Taboo too?! Great, next time we can play together. LOL! No, never heard of Cranium. Will check it out. But as you say, nowadays hard to convince people ‘board game’ is fun anymore! Wait till my children is old enough, I’ll make them play with me. LOL!
Photobuch: Geez, I think I really have too many… :p
michelle: You are right, the Deluxe is only $9.99 without shipping. I paid on average $11 per car, including shipping. I am quite happy with this, coz it is sold out else where. The only issue is, I lost one, so average price increased to $13. So sad… :p I actually love the Ultimate Bumblebee, which is sold at 89.9 at hasbro.com. A lil regret not buying that instead. Some good deals are as low as below 50 on ebay!
Suzette,
Thanks for posting.
I think it’s perfectly normal for us to be obsessed with toys. The kid side of us is always hiding within. For me, I don’t wanna hide it, I don’t care what people said, I wanna be ‘me’, I want my toys!! LOL…
I like the Barricade more than Bumblebee actually, it’s very ‘yau yeng’ in the movie!
BTW, my birthday is around the corner, any emergency toys as a brithday gift?
charsiu: Don’t cheat for the sake of having MY Bumblebee! Your birthday is NOT around the corner. I remember it… Kekekekekeke! :p
psss… see how obsessed I am with MY toys? LOL!
Kids love Bumblebee coz it projects ‘loving’ and have more human touch in the movie with Sam. And my Ian arrr…. after I bought HIS bumblebees, he told me he likes Optimus Prime now, because it is the STRONGEST Autobot. * sigh * Ever changing mind!
