At 5am today

Published by suzette at 7:36 pm under All,Isabel

When I’m back from the toilet at 5am today, I found this…

Sleeping

Isabel was sleeping at the edge again. Her right side is a wall, and I am sleeping on her left side, so the only places she could fall off is either her upper or lower areas, which usually is unlikely to happen for most. But, for Isabel, that has happened a few times – can you imagine how badly she sleeps?!

I stood there at 5am, wondering if I should pick her up. After some struggles, I finally lifted her slightly. Immediately, she woke up and said, “NEN NEN! I want nen-nen please!” (Nen-nen means milk).

* sigh! * I knew there gone my 2 hour sleep (intended to wake up at 7am). She wanted to follow me when I make milk for her. And after drinking her milk, she played, walked, talked, etc… all the way till nearly 7am, then finally fell asleep.

When I left the house at 7:30am, she was still sound asleep, and I had to drag her up. See, that’s how I end up with Panda eyes most of the time.

This kind of episode at 5am today, happens very often. Sometimes at 3am, sometimes at 4am… There was once, I thought she wasn’t really at the edge, so I left her like that. The next moment, BANG! she was on the floor and cried badly. :p Maybe I should let her sleep on the floor. LOL!

You could try placing a mattress on the floor to cushion the fall. Thats what I did so sometimes when they fall, they continue sleeping on the floor. Hahaha.

Happy Mother’s Day..!! the joys of motherhood eh.. :)
Chloe has a cushion like bed on the floor . .when she wakes up in the middle of the nite.. she goes into that bed. And she does goes back to sleep pretty quickly most time.. no playing or talking. She doesn’t like to chat . . most times.

michelle: :) Did that before, but she kicked whatever ‘obstacles’ away before she falls off. LOL!

MG/Jazzmint/1+2mom: * sigh * I wanted to do that too, but my room is pretty small. The bed is attached to the wall, can’t be moved around, and there is a very small gap, like 8 inches between the bed on one end, and about 14 inches between the bed and the wardrobe cabinet on the other end. So, cannot fit any mattresses. Cushions? Tried before, when she hits the floor, the cushions was like kena bowling – flew to all directions and couldn’t absorb her hit at all!

MamaBok: Thanks for the greeting. You too, Happy Mother’s Day! Aiyoh, my two children like to play and talk, at any hours, so take very long time to go back to sleep – like 2 hours??!!!
