Who is the sinner?
This is my second Tess Gerritsen’s book. My first experience with her book was for Gravity, which I rated very highly.
I naturally had a very high expectation on this book, The Sinner, which is the book 3 of Jane Rizzoli series.

I hate to start reading from the middle, of any series. Though there isn’t any problem at all to read this book, but I just prefer to read the first book first.
Tess Gerritsen is good in her writing, especially developing the characters. Even though this is the third book in the series, I could understand the characters, how they feel, what to expect from their reaction, etc.
The only issue I have with this book is, I expected it to be in a similar genre like the Gravity, but not. This is a typical homicide thriller, with a lot of focus in the medical details. Unlike the Gravity, or Michael Crichton, there is nothing too imaginative.
Putting that mis-expectation aside, this is my first true medical thriller. There are a lot of gruesome details of crime scenes, and some scenes that hold your breath worried for the main character’s safety, just like watching an action movie.
I learnt something new in the story, on an ancient old decease that is not common in Malaysia now, but only watched in kungfu movies when I was still a kid. You go figure out what decease it is.
My rating: **** (4 stars)

I have had to swear off any fiction for the next 6 months
If I start a book I will be up for 24 hours to finish it !
