Isabel well toilet trained!
Isabel seems to be easier trained than Ian, on a few things like drinking from cup, going to the toilet, etc.
Since very young, she has been able to tell us when she wants to poo, and hardly have accidents (except those times she wants to play and tried to hold for too long). As for the ‘smaller businesses’, she is well trained now.
Last week, I started to go out with her without using a diaper. A risk that I’m willing to take, coz it is easier to bring her to a public toilet, if she is without diapers.
She is okay with any type of toilets, even the squat down type with a hole on the ground. She’d tell us she wants to ‘shii-shii’ and follows our instructions.
Ian, on the other hand, very scared of the squat down toilet. He is very scared of falling into that hole, and does not have confidence in us holding him. Bringing him to this type of toilet is a struggle. You can hear him scream from far out there, and yet business undone. LOL!
Anyway, back to Isabel, the only issue with her is, she sometimes tells us about her emergency too late, that she couldn’t hold any longer. One incident was, the moment we reached the toilet, she released, wetting the pant a little. LOL! My funny girl…
Well, the cloth diapers that I bought for her, aimed to use for day-time, seems to be a waste now that she doesn’t need a diaper. And BTW, in the afternoon when she naps, she doesn’t pee in the bed! She also refuses to pee in the diaper, if I let her wear one. She’d scream until I bring her to the toilet.

Kudos to both Isabel and mummy!Perhaps you can share your secrets of your success. My son has absolutely no interest in being potty trained and he’s Isabel’s age!The last time we tried to do so, he held his big business in the whole day till bed time :}
My boy is the same with yours when it comes to squatting toilet. Even if he is on the verge of going, when he squats down, the poo disappears. Hahaha.
EMYYL/MG: I spoken too soon. Before I left for my vacation 10 days ago, she was dry, even at night, for 4 days consecutively.
When I returned, she peed at night. We used diaper again, and it was heavy!
And when we brought her to restaurants, 2 nights consecutively she wet the floor – I was so shameful ler!
Sigh! Have to retrain her, when I’m back from US (yes another trip).
Poor girl. She must have felt so herself too. There’s nothing to be shameful about. Think she has done pretty well and setbacks like these are bound to happen. Important is to keep on encouraging her.
EMYYL: Yup, I felt the same too, so I didn’t reprimand or even mention this at all. I am just thinking to delay the training a little while, wait till I return from my US trip. I will have a long time to be grounded after that trip. Then, I will re-train her.
