Finally, the long planned US trip is here! I’m now in Galveston Island, Houston. This time, the team managed to get away from the city and we are in a resort island out of Houston.
I arrived on Saturday and meeting started on Monday. I have been wanted to enjoy the place on Sunday, since I had whole full day free. Unfortunately it rained the whole day!

Alright, after being back from my Lijiang trip last week, 6 days later I had to leave my family again. I had to leave the house at 6:30am on Saturday, to Houston, on a business trip.
I told Ian few days ago, and to my surprise he wasn’t that receptive this time. He paused for a while, then told me in a crying tone, “Mama, I love you. I don’t want you to go again…”
That really breaks my heart. I had to tell him that I’m going to US to bring back his Transformer Bumblebee toy. When he heard that, he was so happy and asked me to go immediately (kids…).
Well, though he said that, on Saturday morning, he refused to let me leave the house. He cried until DH closed the door! I have no idea how long he cried after I left. Isabel was still asleep so didn’t really have that problem.
This time we are staying in a different place in Houston. We are all in Galveston Island, a resort island! My flight schedule allows me to be able to spend a day free and easy on Sunday as I arrived on Saturday night.
Unfortunately, after breakfast Sunday morning, it rained! It rained all the way till 5pm. What a disappointment.
Anyway, at least I spent half an hour walking on the beach. As expected, we didn’t get ocean view rooms. Somewhat I knew that!
Will be back in a few more days. In the meantime, I will try to update whenever I find the time at night. LOL! Still not forgetting my blog! :p
I have been away for 9 days vacation in China since 11 April. Few days before the trip, as usual have to clear up my work - was so busy that I couldn’t even answer all the comments in this blog here.
When I was away, I could check and read the comments on my BlackBerry, but didn’t manage to reply all - too much to catch up on that tiny device!
Finally, today, took sometime to check them all out. Finally a task is completed. I feel so relieved.
Next, is to sort out my Lijiang photo and start blogging about that trip, as well as Ian’s birthday! So sorry Ian, mama is too busy for this…
I remember sometime ago, there was a video posted in YouTube by a Singaporean parents, after ‘catching’ their maid abusing their kids in their nanny camera.
I read that the video was quite popular after that news was released, but I couldn’t find the said video. Instead, I found quite many disturbing child-abuse videos, all captured using hidden cameras, like this one.
It is scary, isn’t it? As I have to rely on maid to help at home, when I’m away at work, I have put CCTV as one of the priority that I must install in my new home. Right now, I’m glad my mom and MIL were able to help. I really pity those little babies… Imagine, if this video’s owner didn’t put a CCTV and allow this to continue…
Well, actually I have been away for holiday in the past 9 days.
I went to China for holiday with my best friends, TM (married to a guailou in Shanghai) and SM (working in Bangkok). We visited TM and WW (another friend working in Shanghai) first, then flied to Kunming. Our main focus was Lijiang. Planned to go to Shangri-la, but not enough time and due to the conflict in Tibet it is not pleasant to go now.
I will share more of my trip in my Travel Blog later. Need some time to sort out the photos and stuff. Furthermore, need to spend some time with my children after being away for so long!
