How to use BlogExplosion?
I shared in an earlier post, a tool that I used to draw incoming traffic.
After that, I received some questions on how to actually use it. Do you need to add a code? Do you need to ping there? etc.
Here is a short explanation how to use the tool. In fact, the detail can be found in BlogExplosion itself, so you may want to hop over for a better explanation.
The process is simple, basically 3 steps:
- Add a blog
- Earn credits, visit blogs
- Assign credits
Add A Blog
In the left sidebar, under “My Blogs” you’ll see Add/Edit Blogs. Click that and you will see a form, fill that up, and wait for the blog to be approved.
Currently there is a backlog of blogs queuing for approval, so that would likely to take a while. Be patient.
Earn Credits, Visit Blogs
While waiting for it to be approved, you can start collecting your ‘points’, by surfing other members’ blogs. To do that, go to the top of the left sidebar, you’ll see “Earn Blog Traffic“. Under that, you can click the ‘Surf Member Blogs‘.
After you click that, a new page will be loaded. Here you’ll see a header from Blog Explosion, and beneath it, other members’ blogs.
In the header, you’ll see on the left top an image below:

There is a set of numbers, and then on the right of it a countdown number, counting down from 25 sec to 0 (turned to GO). It now reads “Click ### to continue GO“. When you see the number turns to GO, click the number indicated in that sentence.
When you click the number correctly, a fresh blog will be loaded, and you earn 0.5 points. Which means, if you ‘surf’ 2 blogs there, you earn 1 point (i.e. 1 visit in return later).
Sometimes, before the countdown turns GO, you might get mystery points (free), by typing in the CAPCHA number.
Assign Traffic
Later, when your blog is approved, you need to Assign Traffic. The same way, on the left sidebar, under “My Blogs” you’ll see ‘Assign Traffic‘. A form allows you to allocate the points to your blogs (assuming that you have more than 1 blog there). Each point gives you 1 visit in return.
If you don’t assign the points, it will not bring you any traffic.
So, it is important to:
1) Submit your blog
2) Surf Members blogs
3) Assign traffic
Hope this helps.
[Edited/Added]
IMPORTANT NOTE:
Just found out in their forum about the queue for approval. I just copy and paste for you to read:
“If a user does not attend blogexplosion for more than 30 days their blog is moved to another queue. [There are] still over 4000 in the [inactive] queue waiting for their owners to come back. They will not be processed unless the owners return and log in at BE.”

another question from this dunce. I dont understand how to assign traffic. i went there, read left and right and is still clueless as to assign what to where. Can you point me to the right direction?
allthingspurple: I email you with pic to show then…
thank you so much for the info. it helped me a lot cuz i was real confuse by the system.
question : ive already filled up the form months back and ive received the mail confirming that my blog is accepted already. but then when i went to “my blogs” and clicked “add/edit blog” it was just a blank page.is it suppose to be like that? and do everyone get a link to blogexplosion once theyre accepted? cuz i dont have it.
Oz: Can you see ‘Assign Traffic’ on the left side bar when you log in? If you can see that, then you should be set to go. What do you mean by a link to BE once accepted? Do you mean a referral link? If you want that link, go to “Referral” on the left side bar.
I think “add/edit blog” shouldn’t be blank page. Have you refreshed your page and try again?
I do not know whether this is ethically or morally right. Do you really read all the blogs or are you just surfing the blogs without actually reading them?
Dance Aficionado: You are right to have doubt on this.
One way to ensure that you are doing this ethically is (from my own experience), to join EntreCard. So, at the same time when you surf BlogExplosion to earn your credit, you also look out for EntreCard to drop. This way, you will (in a way) ensure that you actually read that blog.
As for me, I try to leave a comment for those that I visit. This way, I read their blog, establish relationship, and trying to get some friends, which will ultimately help in improving the BOTB outcome!
