I’ve finally completed listening to the audiobook The Circle Trilogy, which stands for 3 books, Black, Red and White.

As I had to finish all the 3 books before writing this review, it took me really long! Don’t forget, I can only listen to the books when I drive to work, and it is like 30 min a day. Each book has 12 CDs, lasting approx 12 hours each… calculate yourself how much time I need. LOL!
Okay, I have to admit I am a little disappointed with Ted Dekker this time. I bought this trilogy set, coz I have read his Thr3e and listened to Showdown. They are both very good. And this trilogy was rated highly in many places, so my expectation of it is also quite high.
With that high expectation, my disappointment is also very great.
Okay, to be fair, the story is original and different. It is more of fantasy instead of thriller or suspense as it was labeled.

Ya, not that anxious already, maybe I’m numb already? This is the 4th time my site was down and inaccessible. Okay, it is up now, otherwise I wouldn’t be writing again.
But everytime as my guard is set loose, like yesterday, it sure happen again!
I didn’t check this site for more than 24 hours since Friday night. I have a few scheduled posts to let the site run itselves over the weekend. But when it passed midnight, it was completely cut off!
I know this coz I could check my statcounter.
I feel so frustrated. I lost so much traffic when it happened each time. Every time as I worked hard to get my traffic back, just as I see it climbing up, from 0 to 40, to 80, to 120, to 150, and nearly to 180, then… pop! Back to ZERO again. This is so frustrating. Wasted my pings and BE credits.

So frustrating. Sometimes after ‘nang’ed a post in Innit, I wanted to leave some comments. I can never do that.
At first I thought it was my slow computer or connection. Tried in other occasions, in different locations, with different type of connections (LAN, Streamyx Broadband, Wifi, hotel broadband connections, Jaring dial-up… you name it). It happened just EVERYTIME.
I’ve just tried again yesterday; again I couldn’t leave a comment.
I am giving up. Would not bother to give any comments any more in Innit.
Well, the problem is like this: after I typed the comments, I typed in the freeCap image word and clicked “+ add comment”. Nothing happened.
Clicked again, nothing happened. Waited 1 min, 2 min, 3 min, 10 min, 30 min, 60 min. Still nothing happened. Why waited so long? I thought it was just my connection being slow. I tried with different times, still the same.
Since other members are able to leave their comments, I assume it is just an isolated case happening to me.

5 years! FIVE years! I have already 金盘洗手 (gam-pun-sai-sao, i.e. quit) doing the troublesome steps in research, ever since I joined this side –> the Client Side.
Have been in research agency for 6 years before coming over to the client side. In those 6 years, doing questionnaire is like eating bread/rice, a skill that I practised almost weekly.
Five years not doing any questionnaire (I mean solid, full fledge, questionnaire, not just reviewing an existing ones or simple open-ended driven type). Now, I am tasked to do a global questionnaire, a very difficult one, to interview internal stakeholders. This is going to be computer aided, so a lot of logics need to be carefully reviewed and embedded.
OMG! I was so dreaded to think of this. I have been sitting on this for a few days, with a blank mind. Deadline is closing. 2 April is my deadline, and I am still sitting here day dreaming.
I took out a template that I used last time. 1 full day I stared at it, managed to do up to 3 questions only. My skill is really rusted now.
I am telling myself, it is because of the 2 late-night telecons, I slept only 3-4 hours a night, my brain needs rest. After well rested, I should perform better. Yes, I should. * sigh! *

I am so glad that Laane commented in my previous post, about Ian hitting his friends.
I almost caned him last night, and I’m glad I did not. I hate to use violence against violence. It is not giving the right message to his little mind. It contradicts ourselves and confuses him.
“Mama can hit you, but you cannot hit others.”
“I hit you because you hit others.”
“I love you that’s why I hit you”
–> What kind of messages?!
What would he be when he grows up in this?
“I love my wife so I hit my wife”?
“I love my friends so I hit my friends”?
“I hit you because I am bigger/stronger than you, just like how my mom could hit me when I was small”?
–> This is not right…!!
