My son supports DAP because he believes in…
I never brush off my son’s questions easily, no matter how difficult to answer them. Even if I don’t know the answer, I will tell him that I don’t know and we search the answers together.
These few days, he has been curious of the election, and I have been trying hard to explain to him about voting, about government, etc, in simple terms as much as possible.
One day, I grumbled about taxes, saying the government took away so much of my money.
All these, have planted in his little mind…
Then, few days ago, when I was sending him to school, we saw a lot of DAP’s banners. I explained to him what they are.
To my surprise, he said, “I want to vote for the ROCKETS!”
When asked why, he said, “Then I can sit inside the ROCKET and go to the moon!”
Then, more surprisingly, he added, “And then I will become the government, and I take away everyone’s money!”
HAHAHAH! That’s why the government won’t allow a 4 years old kid vote for their government. If we allow kids to vote, then you might want to change your logos to a big M (resembling McDonald’s), or a clown, or bear, or cartoon, etc. Whoever that provides more fun wins! LOL!
And we can’t let kids take part in the election, coz when they win, they ‘take away all your money’. LOL!!!

I admire your patient in explaining things to your son. When I explained stuff to my son, he would ask why until i ran out of answer. When I tell him I don’t know, he would ask ‘Why you dont know’ until eggs can cook on my head!
well, i suppose it’s never too young to get started in politics!
jazzmint: LOL! Kids are fun, aren’t they?
Renn: Hehehe, Actually I quite enjoy explaining things to him. I enjoy his questions and I like to see his responses to my answers, which triggles another series of questions. The only point I get irritated is, when his questions get not specific and seems asked out of habit.
When that happens, I’d boil too, and I’d demand him to be specific on his questions. Imagine one day he asked me, “THAT DAY is what day?”. I kept asking him to be more specific on ‘That day’, encouraged him to tell me what event went on that day, so I have a reference. He kept reciting the same question over and over, until I got irritated. Worst thing is, he got frustrated and cried because I cannot answer his question! Kids…
