Edison scandal - seen any of the photos/videos?
I have to admit that I am very slow in entertainment news. I was so slow that I only learnt about this scandal on Friday (8 Feb), and it was after my sister told me - not through reading or any other means.
I haven’t seen any of the material. Do you have a copy of them or have seen them? No, I’m not interested to see them, but just curious any of you have seen them. If you have seen them, what’s your view on this case?
Here are my views, from ‘only’ reading the old newspapers. I don’t think Edison or any of the girls involved were wrong. It is their sex life, and they could do whatever they want in their own bedroom. If they want to take photos and keep as ’souvenirs’, that is entirely their choice, their privacy and of course no body should even comment on this.
What I think is the ‘bad guy’ that all the arrows should be pointing at - the one who uploaded the material, who spread out the photos. This person might have some grudge over Edison, and probably failed to blackmail him for money. He might be doing this as a revenge towards Edison.
The main issue is, those girls are innocent. The damage to them are beyond repair.
I don’t know all of them, but from news reports, one is a new mother, one is trying very hard to marry a rich man and their wedding WAS near, one is trying hard to project an innocent young and good image, 3 unknown, and one believed to be Edison’s current girl friend — only 19/20 years old. They are too young/innocent to face public with such images. They still have a lot of years to live, imagine how can they face their family, friends, and public in the future.
This is really a good lesson learnt for the public. No matter how sexy you feel, how crazy you might fantasize for your bedroom games, keeping records of the ‘actions’ is really a dangerous thing to do. Look at many cases we saw in newspapers, happening to normal people like us, where women complaint their ex-boyfriends blackmailing them with their nude/sex photos, etc. This kind of things are happening around us all the time. The only difference this time is, it is happening to very popular public figures. Nothing new, but people just never learn.

Haven’t seen any of the material, but it again shows it is not a good idea to have pictures of video material of your bedroom antics. Although it didn’t do Paris Hilton any harm…
I have seen some of them and since I don’t care for the HK glamor scene, they might as well be normal porn to me. If you’re on a moral high horse, I’d like to ask if you’ve never had mutliple partners in your younger days. To the victims, you had a camera pointed at your faces. What were you thinking? And to Edison, dude you can’t even manage your own notebook? Lets see which girl wants to go out with you now. To the person(s) who released the photos to the public - karma will take care of you. There are no winners in this. The lesson: your brains - don’t leave home without it.
It’s the entertainment industry, not something unexpected nor unusual. I agree with you that it’s their private lives but I also agree with Danny:What were you thinking, girls?

the girls are sluts in the first place, otherwise they wouldn’t even doing this plus letting him taking photos?? if they don’t want the public to know, they shouldn’t be doing such thing in the first place. looking at the bigger image, yes it’s edison’s fault as being a no-brainer and a pervert, but none of the girls aren’t innocent. they won’t be doing that if they’re innocent; those girls are such a whore. moreover, they’ve also discussed about ethics of viewing the pix. don’t even get there ’cause they, themselves & being role models, have no ethics either.
I think this is rather foreseeable in the entertainment industry. But with news being news, this scandal will fizzle out when the next scandal comes along.
i have nothing against them taking some memories of their “happy moments”
but, in this monkey business …..
