When kids have motion sickness

Guess I’m not alone in this… There were a few occassions when Ian vomited in the car, or threatened to vomit, we were panic trying to pull over or search for a plastic bag.

He rarely have motion sickness. The first time happened when we were on our way to Fraser’s Hill. He woke up when we were half way up, and cried a lot due to the discomfort, then threw out everything.

There are times that he coughed or cried till he threw out as well.

Keeping plastic bags in the car can sometimes make it look messy. My solution is, whenever I travel on flights, I take one air sickness bag. I placed the air sickness bag at the backseat organizer. This way, it comes in handy yet tidy in the car. :)

Previously MAS’s air sickness bag was with very good quality, but no longer like that - it is small and no sealing top now.

I have 2 Berjaya Air’s bags - they are of very good quality. But then, I don’t fly on Berjaya Air often. So far, only once. LOL!

i think motion sickness in kids usually occurs on winding roads, like cameron or frasers. Ashley threw up on the way to Cameron once and Kimberly to Frasers, but none on our frequent trips to Genting. Guess genting isnt that winding?

allthingspurple: Agree. I think Genting road isn’t winding. And in between Cameron and Frasers, with a scale of 10, I would give Frasers 10, and Cameron 3, Genting 1, in terms of their degree in winding. LOL! Frasers is very tough, even for adult like me!

There are homeopathic tablets for this. They melt as soon as they hit the tongue. 3 of my 5 children inherited my knack for backseat nausea and these pills are GREAT.

primal: are they OTC or need doc’s prescription? It sounds useful! Must get them when on long car rides… :)
