This is one of the books that I couldn’t put down once started. I stayed up last night till 2am, as it was really engaging. BTW, this refers to the paperback version - can’t do this kind of extended reading with audiobook though, as I only listen when driving. :)

I bought this from Amazon.com because I couldn’t get it in KL. There were only 3 copies in MPH and they were sold out. I bought it together with the other set of Ted Dekker’s audiobooks, which I nearly lost the parcel!

Here is a glimse of the story:
Kevin Parson was alone in his car when his cell phone rang. A man calling himself Slater demanded him to confess his sin to the world, or he would blow up his car.

Kevin panic. He has no clue on what sin to confess. His car got blown up 3 min after the call. No one was hurt - yet.

Slater kept returning with more threats, all to do with the figure 3 and its progressions. The ‘game’ won’t stop till he confess. The issue is, Kevin is just like us - have all sorts of sins. Which one should he confess? Gossip? Anger? Laziness? Hatred? etc

As it goes, the story offers a lot of unthinkable plots. Till the end, I was still clueless who Slater is, and it also offered a surprise ending. A great surprise. Didn’t think of it, but possible and 100% logic. This is the kind of book you’d love to have as thriller.

Who is Ted Dekker?
He is known for novels that combine adrenaline-laced stories packed with unexpected plot twists, unforgettable characters, and incredible confrontations between good and evil.

My rating: ***** (5)

THanks for the review. I have a friend who loves Ted Dekker books and is always telling me to read them. I guess I need to just make the time for it. This definitely sounds like a good read.
