More about no frill outing (breastfeeding benefits)
After I wrote about how convenient and practical to breastfeed, I remembered one incident that I witnessed and thought of sharing.
A couple of years ago when I brought Ian to the paed office at Pantai Hospital, the doctor had some emergency and we waited quite a while. A family went in quite early and wasn’t familiar with the system (we took a number very early, left and returned later when the office open at 10am). I think they probably have waited for 2 or 3 hours (or perhaps 4?) when we were there.
The mother certainly wasn’t a breastfeeding mom, coz at one point they were so worried…
The milk powder they bought have been finished consumed, and the baby required another feed already.
Imagine, if the mother has been giving her milk, she could have just easily feed anytime anywhere the baby needs!
This is another practicality of breastfeeding that one mustn’t ignore!

i totally agree..! but i quite shy to feed in public leh..
Mama Bok: You need nursing tops. They allowed me to breastfeed discretely in public. In some cases, people weren’t even know I was breastfeeding, when they were standing right in front of me chatting with me!
But I also agree with another reader’s comments – In Asia, there is very few facilities for us, can’t find nursing room easily. Some complaints are: by the time they find a nursing room, the baby would have cried until the sky falls!
