YOUR postman made a mistake

Do you know how much pain I had to go through to finally reach my parcel? It took me nearly a week and many phone calls plus 2 visits to the post delivery/collection offices.

Last Wed (12 Dec), I reached home and found a red card for me. On the card, there was an instruction for me to go to Post Office at Jusco Kepong to collect my ‘document’.

I went there on Sat (15 Dec). The counter lady took my card, asked me to go home. She said: “I cannot give anything to you because YOUR postman made a mistake, he didn’t attach the reference number sticker”. Without that tracking number, she couldn’t give me my item.

I was puzzled, and also blurred, left the post office just like that. Yes, that was my biggest mistake. I should have insisted to get back the red card. Anyway, later it is proven not an issue.

I couldn’t think of what could be the item until Sunday night when I was half sleeping. I remembered I bought Ted Dekker’s books and audiobooks from Amazon last month, and it is scheduled to arrive on 18 Dec. The timing seems right, though it was 6 days earlier.

I got panic, coz it costed me RM208.44 including S&H. No body told me what would happen if I fail to collect them - would they send back to Amazon in US? That would cost me more money to get it delivered again!

I asked my MIL to watch out for the postman yesterday - we still missed him.

This morning, I called their CSC to enquire what could I do to get my stuff. The guy was very friendly, but without the tracking number he couldn’t help. He finally gave me the delivery office number in Jinjang. I called up, the guy asked me to go back to Jusco collection office again.

I knew it would be useless going there again. I begged that guy to help me. He took down my number, address, name, and all the details. And then, he asked me to get the tracking number from Amazon (back to the same bloody tracking number again!).

I don’t have them! There is NO TRACKING NUMBERS, you got it? Somewhat, MY postman made a mistake. Even MY postman cannot find a tracking number to stick on the red card, where can I find the tracking number? Ya, so much so of MY POSTMAN, as if he was my staff.

Guess what? After around 20 min negotiation on the phone, he passed the call to someone else, who checked my detail against a log book — dadadada! My item was right there in the Jinjang delivery office.

See, there is no use going back to Jusco branch! Luckily I refused to put down the phone, luckily I insisted that he could do more to help me…

I’ve finally collected my stuff.

What a big parcel - see its size against the cell phone…

Inside actually very small only, surrounded by air pockets to protect my order.

And here are my orders!

I am so happy finally seeing my goods delivered so fast and in good condition! I like Amazon now… :D Can’t wait to read them, but I have so many, where to start??!! :P

montessorimum: yaloh, luckily I could get it, even before the holiday starts… :) Yes, I love to read, but all junk stuff. :P

allthingspurple: Hey, you mean you waited for quite a while before the whole page loaded kah? :( I don’t know why it take so long lately, like a few batches to load the full page. I removed a few things in my side bar, maybe I should remove more, to make it load faster - hope it is not the pics that made it slow. Without the pic, how to show-off my ‘BIG’ parcel? :P

multidimid: There are actually 4 books. I couldn’t find them here in Malaysia.

The first one is Thr3e. On the cover, it says it is made into a movie, but I’m very outdated on movies, can’t share much. Thr3e is about some horror things happened to a guy, started with a phone call telling him something will happen in 3 minutes. Then everything is surrounding the figure 3. To do with sins, I think…

The second set of 3 books is a trilogy - The Circle Trilogy (Black, White and Red). I don’t really know the story inside, but based on many reviews, it is said the best from Ted Dekker.

I read only 1 book from Ted Dekker (Showdown) here: http://www.thesuzette.com/2007/11/ted-dekkers-showdown-gives-me-chill/
And I really liked it, so naturally I want to buy his best books, so bought them here. :)
