My additional ‘ME’ time
Last month, in my precious ‘me’ time, I mentioned that I felt it wasn’t enough, and I really meant it.
Of course, who (especially moms) would think they have enough ‘me’ time and felt sick of it?!
I am a movie lover. Thought I stopped going to cinema as often as I did in the past, I am still a movie lover. What I enjoy most is to be able to watch a few movies at one go.
On Christmas eve, I took a day off. Just happened that my cousin has additional advertiser passes for me, I induldge myself with what I longed for (though a bit tight in terms of timing).

I watched 2 movies back-to-back. Initial I worried how I was going to make it, given the tight timing and few things to buy. I actually had to run. If you happened to be in 1U on Monday and saw a mad lady running from the new wing towards the old wing, maybe you saw me. LOL!
My first movie was The Golden Compass. Though many reviews rated it poorly, I enjoyed watching it. Just don’t think much, just enjoy that picture, just look at Nicole Kidman’s acting and her beauty… whew! That was enough. It is supposed to be a chronicle thingy, so I expected the ending to be as such, and have no complaints like others.
Well, if I have to complain, then I really shouldn’t read Leven Thumps- the feeling and ending is really the same: make you feel dangling! LOL!
One issue, really SMALL issue, I had with the movie is, there is a scene missing which I saw from the trailer. I guess Pan (Lyra’s daemon) has probably transformed to be a bird/eagle, was flighting with the golden monkey (Mrs Coulter’s daemon) in the ice and flew off? There was a scene Lyra screamed “I’ve never be yours!“. These few shots must be from the same scene in the battle towards the end. It was somewhat not shown, but didn’t spoil the fun of the movie.
I couldn’t recognize Daniel Craig until nearly the end. He looked so different! Very old! LOL!
The second movie I watched was National Treasure: Book of Secrets. Similar to its previous episode, the mystery seems really easy for Nicolas Cage to decipher and the so called the greatest treasure of all time is so easily found by him. But if we can put the logic aside (including the ease of kidnapping the president and being forgiven on that), this movie is still a fun one to watch – for some good laugh, actually.
I felt so satisfied, after watching the 2 (free) movies on Monday, though I had to rush to prepare for our evening activities.
