Isabel is not afraid of nebulizer
These 2 weeks I’ve been dealing with 2 sick kids. Ian got fever, cough and running nose first. His started last Wed, fever came and went off, repeatedly till Sunday, until now still having some cough.
Isabel’s started since Saturday, fever came and went off till Wed – exactly the same pattern like Ian. Her cough is worse and she refused to eat due to phlegm. As our doctor is on vacation till next week, we had no choice but to see another doc, a paediatrician.
This doctor is new to us. He seems very good. Carefully examined Isabel and told us she has lots of phlegm in the lungs and need nebulizer (inhaling some kind of gas).
I remember the trauma Ian had, the last time we gave him nebulizer. Was quite worried for Isabel, but it turned out she was completely okay. I asked her to breath in and out, she thought it was fun and ‘played’ with it. And she was curious about the room and the toys, so the process was quite a pleasant one. 
I think maybe the setting in a child clinic helps as well, coz it is full of toys and bright colours, unlike normal clinic. Well, the price is of course very different!
My usual doctor is like a charitable person. He doesn’t really charge much for consultation and doesn’t earn much. Our medical bills usually not more than RM30. And if we need to re-visit him, he doesn’t charge consultation. Many times I went there, if no medication, he doesn’t charge or just charge RM5. There was once Ian had finished the course but not getting better, he changed the medication is charged only the price of the cream (RM8 only!).
Paed usually not like this. There was once I brought Ian for his vaccination in Pantai, and the paed said he had some stomach upset better to postpone the jab. With that, I had to pay RM60 just for his ‘consultation’!
Some just donch care.. but want the money..

Wow, there’s still such docotrs around? Thought most of them would have joined the dinosaurs already ;p Do share who this wonderful doc is.
