Children’s Birthday

It is actually a pressure sending kids to schools nowadays. Even at young age of 3 y.o., I have to say the same.

Not only the school fees are high, there are other demands too. Ian’s birthday is in April, and seems like most of his friends’ birthdays are after his, I didn’t feel the pressure this year. After one year in the school, I think next year I will face tremendous stress.

Birthday Party

Every now and then, there are birthday invitation cards received. The parents of his friends hold birthday parties at school. Every kid is given a birthday party pack. In the pack (usually in Disney character plastic bags - not cheap), there are candies, chocolates, mask, whistle, baloon, crayon, stickers, etc.

The parents also bought birthday cake, cook or bought fastfood (pizza, etc) for the classmate. One was even more exaggerative - the whole school was invited!

For Ian, my mom bought a birthday cake on that day, after sending him to the school. That was even after being reminded by the school - just so that Ian won’t be disappointed. Sigh! If we never exposed him to this, he won’t know, where come disappointments?

I am never a party person, hate organizing one. I thought of those details, I already feel headache! Imagine these are the things you need to do:
- Invitation cards
- Food
- Party packs
- presents
- etc
lecehnya!

Hehe … I am one of the guilty one!

Ryan will be going to school in January and his birthday is in March … and I am already thinking about the theme and who would be invited to it! But I would definitely do it in the school - no need for me to clean ma!

MamaBok: Hehe, fair or not - if no one started that… then would be different story. Think of our days, no body remembers our birthday! Especially my sister’s - falling very closed to CNY, where my mom always be too busy with the cleaning up stuff. :P

Kim: Wow, in US also the same? Our kids are pampered nowadays huh! :)

BusyBee: March and now is Nov! Wow, you are really into it ya? Good idea about the part no need to clean up. :D But can you invite others apart from his schoolmates?
