Birthday Presents
Everytime Ian is invited to a birthday party in his school, I always let him bring a present. It is always a hassle having to buy gifts at last minute notice.
After a few rounds, I have a solution now. When I buy audiobooks for Ian, if I see good deals in eBay, I buy extra sets. For instance, this kind of audiobooks and audio Cds below is very good for children. I bought a set for Ian already, but I kept buying more from eBay. I have been giving them out to Ian’s friends as their birthday presents. Very handy and educational for them. I am not worried of repeating as there are different titles! Isn’t it a good gift?

If you want to get similar audiobooks from my favourite eBayer, you can visit their eBay store. The shipping & handling fee is quite reasonable.
Apart from this, I sometimes give out books as well. Buying children storybooks from Manila is cheap. I bought some in my last trip and used them all already. Will buy more in my next trip (dunno when!). When your kids grow up, you’ll need to have a stock of presents for ‘just-in-case’ situations like mine. ![]()

Oh! Also, it is also a good practice to always keep a kid’s present in your bag! Few weeks ago, when I sent Ian to school, I found out one of his girl-friend’s birthday, and the mom didn’t send invitation card. Luckily I had one of the audiobook wrapped up in my bag. I quickly handed it over to Ian to be given to that little girl. Glad that I brought one with me.

What a smart mummy..!
