Fighting
In the past, Isabel is always bullied by Ian. He used to push Isabel, slap her, take away her toys that she was playing, etc.
MIL never protect Isabel, she only TELL Ian not to do that, but never STOP Ian from doing that even he WAS GOING TO hurt Isabel. I get very heart ache, but different people have different ways of teaching/interacting with the little ones, and MIL is never a scolding or strong type with kids.
Anyway, that put aside, I have told everyone to expect Isabel to retaliate when she is strong enough to protect herself. True enough, she is now very fierceful and agressive in siblings fights.
My mom just told me that, yesterday when she visited them, she witnessed this:
Ian suddenly slapped Isabel.
Isabel screamed in a very angry way, slapped him back, missed and hit MIL.
She then moved forward again, made a second attempt and slapped Ian on his face.
In the whole process, she was very fierceful.
And two nights ago, I fed Isabel some yoghurt. Ian wanted to eat also, so I let them shared. After finishing one cup, Ian fetched another one, and when I fed Isabel, Ian protested. I insisted they share coz Ian took half Isabel’s cup earlier.
Wah! At that point, I could see my two children wrestling to be fed. Ian tried to block Isabel with his hand, Isabel tried to get past his hand, bent his hand, with me wanting to stop them fighting… it was such a mess! But I’m glad Isabel knows how to protect herself now, coz I can’t be with her all the time!
I kept explaning to Ian, wanting her to love his sister. Hope as he grows he loves his sister more. Why this is not as I wished (or dreamt), to have a loving elder brother that always look after me/sister?
so small already fighting!! They’ll fight until their teenage years, like me and my bro. We stopped fighting only when he went to Uni in KL… ;p;p
Isabel very fierce hor…..that’s good, can stand up for herself.

Ya, at least she is fierce enough to protect herself.
Probably .. just a phase that Ian is going thru’..?? and of course Isabel picked it up from big brother lor..
ya, my bro wasy playful and I was sensitive, so lots of fighting one…
Haha…but he protects me from others….only he can bully me.
