2006 Review
These are the highlights of my 2006. What an eventful year for me. A tough start with an easier/good ending. Better than 2005.
Early 2006, I nearly lost my job in the company’s re-org.
Stepping into the doggie year in Feb, I secured my job again. In between, I’ve attended a few job interviews. It was not easy, coz I was heavily pregnant.
A colleague’s sudden demise in the office in Mar has triggled everyone to be more careful with DVT, especially travel for long distance.
Got our Indonesian maid in April. First time having a live-in maid. Took us some time to get adjusted to having a stranger living at home.
In May, my lovely daughter, Isabel, was born. She added a lot of joys to our family, a new companion to our first child, Ian.
In July, Ian started attending pre-school in Vital Years. It didn’t work for him. We stopped sending in Oct.
After 3 months maternity leave, I resumed work in Sept. Right afte back to work, I went to New York City and Chicago for the first time. Always wanted to visit the big apple, and I’ve made it, without incurring much cost, coz it was on business trip!
In Oct, relationship with my boss turned sour, after I complaint about heavy workload. Perhaps I should have hold my toungue, coz in Dec I was extremely light agian.
In Nov, we enrolled Ian to a proper pre-school (playschool). We enrolled him into the 1-month holiday program. He still didn’t like it. He just wants to stay with his grandma.
In Dec, attended the renown workshop in my company, won the famous (for its difficulty) syndicate group work. An achievement for myself.
In Dec also, won the best dressed in the Christmas Party. Joined PPP and will be paid USD180 so far – my new toy/hobby now. 
Oh, yes, in Dec too, DH got a new 400D. That is his new toy!
