Cake Baking
Sunday morning I failed baking my moist chocolate cake. I wasn’t happy with it and wanted to re-take the challenge. So, on the way home that day, I re-purchased some of the used ingredients, and tried baking it again.
After putting Isabel to sleep at night, I re-started the whole baking process.
Though I ended went into bed very late (at 2am), I think it was worthy. It finally worked!
Most rewarding part is: Ian said “Hmm… very nice!” after he tasted it! He is very picky on food, so if I passed his evaluation, means it should be really okay.
Actually Ian wasn’t quite sure whether to take my cake at the beginning. He examined the cake closely, sniffed it, put a small piece in mouth, chewed slowly, then only he approved my cake! What a critical food critic! I was so tensed when I looked at him going through the food review process.
I personally found the cake too sweet to my liking. In fact, I’ve reduced the sugar from the recipe – perhaps I should reduce even further.
BTW, MIL and maid liked my cake!

Well done, well done
Baking a cake is something very “chim” for me
wahh so young oerdi ggot such distinctive taste
Yiwen: Hehe! At least I didn’t put in salt this time.
What do you mean by ‘chim’? Is it ‘deep’ as in ‘difficult’?
jazzmint: Ya loh, he is very critical in terms of food. Since very young. Very difficult to please.
