Breast Pumps

Before Ian was born, I wanted to buy a good breast pump, so that I can be more determined to breastfeed my children.

I asked my friends for advice on how to Buy Breast Pumps.  Most recommended Avent, which I thought it was already the most expensive one – it shows how limited my knowledge at that time.  :)

Anyway, I agree with my friends that it is a good breast pump, and it helped me to breastfeed Ian successfully for 16 months.  I weaned Ian because of my intention to get a second child.

ME Time

Published by suzette under All,Miscellaneous

Shoppingmom wrote about her ‘me-time’.  I share the same feeling and problem too.

Ever since I have my own children, I practically lost all my ‘me-time’.  DH is also the same, but to a lesser extent.  He still goes out with friends for mamak, photography (his hobby), motorsports, etc.

Ever since Ian was born, I’ve stopped going mamak at night with DH and our friends.  We were schoolmates, so we share the common friends.  Really envy that he can do that, whilst I have to stay at home looking after the kids.

Not only that, at least shoppingmum can have her ‘me-time’ after her children fall asleep at night.

New Year Resolution

Published by suzette under All,Miscellaneous

2007 is near, and I have the following items I wish I could accomplish next year.

  • Cook more often
  • Be more patient with Ian
  • Spend more time with children
  • Take children to parks in the morning (weekends)
  • Take children to playground more often
  • Brush Ian’s teeth every night
  • Bring Ian to visit dentist (at least once)
  • Visit dentist twice (myself)

I think that’s all for now.  If I think of more, will add later.

Russian Brides

Published by suzette under All,Sponsored Posts

This post is brought to you by Lovers Planet.

I don’t know there are dating sites available such as Lovers Planet, which specialized in connecting women from Russian, Ukraine and Belarus with men from US, Canada and Western Europe.

According to Lovers Planet, There are about 10 million more women in Russia than men. That’s only 88 males between 100 females, so it’s a fact that a portion of Russian brides have to look outside of their country to find a husband, or else they’re destined to remain single!

In Loversplanet.com, there are thousands of Russian brides seeking men for marriage. It is quite interesting to know that, in Russia and Ukraine, women’s priority is to get marriage irrespective of age. All other things in life (career, education, etc) come after family/marriage.

Comments From Sponsors

Published by suzette under All,Blogging

I’ve written 24 sponsored posts so far, 22 from PPP, 1 from Blogsvertise, and one from ReviewMe.

ReviewMe’s payout rate is much better, but I have to wait for sponsors to pick my site, and I can’t ‘work’ proactively.  So far, only 1 sponsor picked my site, I guess that’s because I am a frequent traveler.  To review a hotel reservations site, none is more suitable than a frequent travelers themselves!

This post was written for HotelReservations.com.  Today, I received a comment thanking me for reviewing their site.

It is really encouraging to receive thank you notes from your own sponsors.  At least you know they really read and appreciate your effort in writing the post.  Hey, not easy, got to research and call up their customer hotline, you know?

I’m not sure their comment is a standard one that they send to all their reviewers.  Even so, it is an effort of them being courteous.  I like this kind of sponsors.  :D
