Chicago Trip

Published by suzette at 11:59 pm under All,Traveling

Hehe, actually feel quite awkward writing about my last Chicago trip when I’m actually flying to another city now.  Anyway, this is a task that I still need to finish.

I arranged the flight so that when we arrived at Chicago I could still join my other colleague to the ToyRUs.  This Latin American collleague of mine, has 2 children too.  Like mine, he has a boy 2 years old (1 month older than Ian) and a girl 3 months (1 month younger than Isabel).  He likes ToyRUs very much.  He goes to ToyRUs in every city we have meetings.

I spent quite a lot of money buying toys for Ian.  I couldn’t find things suitable for Isabel and decided to buy on next trip.

In the evening, we went up to the Hancock Observatory to have a view of the city.  Originally we wanted to go to the Sear’s Tower – according to them this is the tallest building in the States.  However, due to the distance, we decided to stay nearer to the hotel.  The locals told us that Hancock’s view is better than Sears coz it is near Lake Michigan.  It is true, very beautiful night view.

Aiyah, I have to board my flight now.  I will continue writing about Chicago later.  Here ends my 1st day ‘journal’ in Chicago before we headed to Weber Grill for dinner.

Ian’s toys can pass down to Isabel later..
Is it expensive over the ToyRUs there?

huisia, actually the toys there are less expensive, but the tax is. Depends on what you buy. Lego is cheap there, a lot cheaper. :)

[...] After 3 months maternity leave, I resumed work in Sept.  Right afte back to work, I went to New York City and Chicago for the first time.  Always wanted to visit the big apple, and I’ve made it, without incurring much cost, coz it was on business trip! [...]
