Pulling Hair

Published by suzette at 11:38 am under All,Isabel

My mom told me about how my sister like, when she was a baby – very much like Isabel.  They both cry very fiercefully, and no compromise.

She told me about an incident of my sister: one day she was crying very loudly and mum rushed in to check – nothing was wrong.  Then realized that she was pulling her hair and didn’t know how to let go!

Yesterday evening, after I bathed Isabel at MIL’s house, I put her down on the floor to dress her (sigh! MIL’s place is not ready for her yet, but DH insisted that I brought Isabel there…).  After I wiped her dry, I saw her left hand reaching the head, and I remembered my sister’s story.

As I was thinking, I heard Isabel screamed!  Yes!  She just grabbed a bunch of hair, and didn’t know how to let go.  He left hand tried to retreat, with the hair still clutched tightly in her hand.  It took me a while to release the hair, coz she was grabbing it so tightly!

Hahaha!  No wonder everyone said my daughter looks like my sister – no only the look, but the behaviour and this hair pulling thingy too!  LOL!  :D

egghead: seriously, I now ‘understand’ why the old folks want to cut botak babies’ hair. Hahaha!

Mamabok: Kekeke, I tot so, and that’s why I blogged about it – wants to record this down and let her reads it later (if she is ever interested)

Lin: Hmm… come to think about it, yes you are right! If not because of my mom’s story, I probably will be panic. Hahaha!

Beckysmum: Really? Few days old… did you use mitten? Or was it also like my case – after bathing, or mitten dropped? ;)

Hahaha… so cute. I reckon if my 2 boys weren’t botak by the time their itchy fingers start roaming, we’ll see lots of these cases…
