Pulling Hair

Published by suzette under All,Isabel

My mom told me about how my sister like, when she was a baby – very much like Isabel.  They both cry very fiercefully, and no compromise.

She told me about an incident of my sister: one day she was crying very loudly and mum rushed in to check – nothing was wrong.  Then realized that she was pulling her hair and didn’t know how to let go!

Yesterday evening, after I bathed Isabel at MIL’s house, I put her down on the floor to dress her (sigh! MIL’s place is not ready for her yet, but DH insisted that I brought Isabel there…).  After I wiped her dry, I saw her left hand reaching the head, and I remembered my sister’s story.

As I was thinking, I heard Isabel screamed!  Yes!  She just grabbed a bunch of hair, and didn’t know how to let go.  He left hand tried to retreat, with the hair still clutched tightly in her hand.  It took me a while to release the hair, coz she was grabbing it so tightly!

Hahaha!  No wonder everyone said my daughter looks like my sister – no only the look, but the behaviour and this hair pulling thingy too!  LOL!  :D

Ian Is Sick

Published by suzette under All,Ian

Ian is sick now.  Actually he was sick since yesterday.  He complaint about stomach pain, and his temperature was high (39.1 degree).

DH brought him to see doc yesterday morning.  Doc said nothing, and just gave fever and wind medicine.  His fever finally came down today, though still have some mild fever.

He is still complaining about stomach pain, and occassionally he also complaint that he is very ‘full’ – actually he means he wants to vomit.  When that happens he would be crying ‘I don’t want, I don’t want!’  He always withold his vomit, if possible, coz he is just so scared of vomiting.  Very pittiful whenever he has this problem.  :(

Hope he gets well soon…

Yesterday I was so kelam-kabut.  When breastfeeding Isabel halfway, Ian wanted to vomit.  I was alone, with a maid that can’t help in this situation coz: Ian won’t want anyone else to touch him (especailly when he is sick now), and no one else can breastfeed Isabel for me!  I was so short-handed yesterday, and I wonder how would things be in the future leh?  :P

Isabel’s 1M Measurements

Published by suzette under All,Isabel

Yesterday brought Isabel to have her HepB vaccination.  She was okay all the time, until I put her on the bed.

At first she started stretching – doc said a good thing baby does, but for me, I know it is the sign that she will start crying.  :P

Then, through out the process doc assessing her body, she was crying.  After finished taking her measures, doc asked me to pick her up while he prepares the vaccination, coz she just cried too badly.  :P

Anyway, about her measurements, she is growing very healthily.  She gained 1.24kg, now weights 4.9kg.  And her height is 56.5cm with head circumference 38.1cm.  Doc said she is a tall girl!  (but dunno after growing up she is tall or not leh?!)

Old Memories

Published by suzette under All,Miscellaneous

Memory is the strangest thing.

I can remember some very small and unimportant events or moments that happened in many years ago, even like when I was 5 years old.  And I can also not have hany trace of memory, for bigger things/events.

One day met up with an old friend.  He suddenly mentioned about the carrom match in F6, which we won.  We = he and I.  He talked about the moment of us entering the last seed – by me, and he teased me that I did it out of everyone’s expectation.  He reminded me that I was very stressed coz everyone was watching, and after aiming I striked it with closed eyes.

Seriously, I completely forgot about that match.  I didn’t even remember I had entered that match, not even to partner with him, and of course I don’t have any traces of memory about my last strike.  :P

Now think about about my school life, I guess I spent all my focus on my study too much that I didn’t spare my memory space for these wonderful moments (cheh, sounds like talking about computer’s memory stick).

I don’t have much memory of the Inter-school Prefects Games that I joined in F3, F4 and F5.  I don’t remember most of the people I’ve met, not even their look and name.  Not much memory about the gatherings and those inter-school games and invitations I’ve joined.

I am so… err disappointed? shocked? 佩服? with my own memory.  :P

Freedom Again!

Published by suzette under All,Miscellaneous

Yay!  Today I gained my freedom again!  Yes, today is the full-moon (1 month old) of baby Isabel.  I can wear my short pants, bath 2 times a day, wash my hair everyday, go anywhere I like… yay!

Today is supposed to be a busy day, and I’m supposed to be too busy to blog.  I am supposed to be in the hospital now, waiting for Isabel’s turn for her 1-month jab.  But then… aiyah long and boring story – put it simple, after missing this and that, we are simply too late and expect to have long queue.  So, decided to go tomorrow or Wed.

I’m now waiting for my lunch to be ready – mum and MIL still insist that I have my confinement ginger and wine food for another 10 days (so, not 100% freedom yet).  After having my lunch, we’ll go home.

Actually moving back is a lot of work.  We have just too many things to bring.  I am alone with the maid, and I’m staying in an apartment – unlike landed ones, moving is quite some hassle.  :)

Guess we will have to make it a few trips ler.

Oh, yesterday my maid went home to do some cleaning.  Due to time constraint, she could only spend 2 hours.  When she came back, she told me “Mam, rumah sangat busuk.  Sangat kotor!”

Well, DH forgot to do pest control earlier, and only asked the guy to come on Saturday.  So, the house is so smelly now (usually needs a week to clear)!  And, after 1 month without me maid cleaning the house, it is so dusty and clothes piled up, etc.  We will have to spend some really good time to get the house ready.

I expect this afternoon a very very busy one.  ;)
