2 years ago (part 3)

Published by suzette under All, Ian

OK, this is the final part of my record.  After that, I stopped writing on my event book, and few months later started my blog.  Anyway, you can see that, I didn’t write frequently.  Through out the whole pregnancy, I only had 2 records, and the 3rd one is actually post delivery…

27/4 (Thursday)

Baby was born 16 days earlier on 21/4.  We named him Yee Hern.  He was 3.01 kg, 49 cm long.

Everything happened so fast.  On Monday 19/4, I went to check-up.  Doc predicted my baby was going to be born late.  Then the next day morning at 7:55 am, I was in the office’s toilet, found blood stain in my pant, then very panic, went to hospital at 2pm, and was sent home, with dilation 1cm only and mild contraction.  In the evening, contraction interval was 30 min, then shorten to 15 min by 11 pm, and 5 min by 2am.

I was admitted at 3:30am (21/4).  Dilation was already 4 cm,  Within 1 or 2 hours, midwives announced that it opened to 9cm.  But then it didn’t go further till afternoon.  My urge to push was so much that I was in pain for more than I could bear.

Baby finally was born at 3:22pm, with forcep.

Through out the last few days so many things happened, I cried and cried a lot, adjusting to the confinement rules.  I didn’t want to mention those again, but one thing that is really great was, DH’s support.  He is so supportive and is so nice and patient, bearing all the burden all on his own without complaining.  He loves us a lot, I can feel it.  I feel so touched by his… everything.  He is definitely the best husband and best father of all.

My baby is very cute.  He has so much of hair though my mom is not satisfied with it.  He has a pair of cute eyes, and he is so strong!  He is defintely a good suckler, makes my breastfeeding so successful, though also very tired.  :)

The bundle of joy is definitely so great to me and DH.  The labour pain is worthy after seeing my little boy.  Seeing him suckling my breast is so satisfying.  I have the greatest family with me now, my dear little boy and my darling husband.

Thanks God, for giving me all these.

At that point of time, we haven’t named my son Ian yet.  :)

Another entry in my ‘event book’ 2 years ago, 5 months after the last entry… (see, I wrote so irregularly, unlike my blog now!).

14/3 (Sunday)

Houston 是个很累的 trip, 30 个小时 from point (KLIA) to point (Houston), 不包括从家/hotel 的行程呢.

Hmm…

It has been 2 years already since I gave birth to Ian.  Digged out my old ‘event book’ (something like diary, but not recorded everyday), and found some entry on how I felt during the pregnancy process.

Feel like recording down in my blog.  And I am going to start here (all entries in year 2003/4)…

(Monday)

Ian’s Birthday

Published by suzette under All, Ian

Yesterday was Ian’s birthday.  No party, but we had family dinner outside.  My parents, parents-in-law, sister-in-law and her boyfriend, all joined us for the dinner.

We couldn’t think of a nice place to go, so just simply went to a noodle house (as suggested by my sis).  We fed Ian with porridge first before going.  So, whether he wants to eat the food there doesn’t matter.

He seemed to be very happy and well behaved.  Partially because of the Lego set that my SIL gave him.  Well, SIL and her boyfriend, apparently doesn’t know how to choose toys for young kids, coz what they bought for Ian are hazardous.

The Lego set that SIL bought was with very small bricks, and can choke easily if Ian puts into his mouth (which no one can guarantee that he won’t!).  The box is written: for 4+.  We let Ian played with a few pieces for a while, and decided to hide them later until he is at least 3 years old.  What a waste…

And SIL’s boy friend, bought a set of UNO dice game, which consists of circa 24 dices and a pouch.  I didn’t even allow Ian to open the pack, coz worried that he might choke on the dices!

Well, I didn’t buy anything for him, coz have been buying lots of toys for him lately, all planned for his birthday but he ’stole’ them already!  Not my fault!  :p

DH bought a dancing Cookie Monster, which appear to be the one that Ian likes most.  He kept laughing at the movement.

My mom bought a set of 2 picture puzzles, but too difficult for Ian –> 48 pieces.  To be frank, even adults find it hard.  :p  Ian got excited for a while, but due to the difficulties, he gave up.

My sis bought something like block games, but she didn’t join us yesterday, and will give Ian only on Sun.

Ian loved the cake and birthday song session.  He blew so many times and so hard, before the 2 candles could be blown off.  Initially he was so excited with the presents and wanted to open them, but when the cake was put in front of him, he wanted to eat the cake more than anything else.  Whatever presents given to him was just put aside.  Hahaha!  Never thought he likes eating anything!

That was how we celebrated his birthday yesterday.  Nothing great, but I like it, coz it was really a family event.  I hate big parties, that invite many people that not concerned to me.  :p

More on Boredom

Published by suzette under All, Mumbles

Today, I really really 蛇王.  Out at 12pm, and back at 3:15pm (should be back by 2pm).  Extended lunch hour.  :p

Back and still found nothing on my plate…  But this afternoon was well spent, and I settled a lot of things.

Went to 2 banks, activated 2 dormant accounts, helped my mom to bank in her cheques, paid housing loan, and updated all my passbooks.  Still need to go to 1 more bank, which, I believe the account also dormant already.  :p

Went to my mom’s house, but still forgot to collect Ian’s stuff.  Bought lunch for MIL, Ian and maid.  Had lunch there.  Went to Jusco to buy groceries - still missed out one item.  I am really forgetful lah!

Today is so boring.  I’m just afraid that I forgot something important that I must do.  :p
