Promotion
Today, I’ve finally received the official document stating that I got my job in the recent re-org.
And, the good news is, due to the re-org, my job is upgraded to another job group, and I got an automatic promotion without having to justify for it.
But, what is disappointed to me is, the promotion only gives me a salary increment of a pathetic 3%. Yes, 3%!!!! I just couldn’t believe it.
Since joining this company, my annual increment is already low, in the range of 3 to 3.25%. And now, I was hoping the promotion will give me better increment, but THREE PERCENT only! Is even lower than the inflation rate in Malaysia!
I really feel miserable now. Sob, sob, sob. Why lah the company so stingy?!
p/s: See, being a typical human, I know I am greedy. I was worried about losing my job earlier, and now got my job, but complaint not enough increment. Hahaha! :p :p

The increment may be low but the promotion is good when you wanna change job next time. Congrats!
Congratulations, at least you still have your job!!! Maybe market is bad, that’s why not much increment. At least your rice bowl is safe.
I donch think that is being greedy . .my dear..! that’s is what i call.. fair exchange.. for more job responsibilities..
But never mind..! think of the paid maternity leaves.. in the near future.. eh..??

Pinpin: Thanks. But do you know that the promotion actually downgraded my title, and added ‘Assistant’ to it? So, from Manager becomes Asssitant Manager. No clearly seen benefits to me…
Shopping mum: Thanks! That’s right, at least I have my job.
Mama Bok: Yup, yup, yup! Paid maternity leaves, no need to work but still got paid for 2 months. Yeah, yeah, yeah!

In Canada..paid one year..!! that’s why .. everyone wants to get pregnant. .and have loads of babies here..!
MamaBok: You mean, 1 year no need to work also got 100% pay? Wow, that is really good man! But I wonder if gender discremination is high or not leh? Will it hinder employers from hiring females who are married without kids - potentially going for maternity! :p
next time when ever you feel this way, think about me, then you will feel better hahaha… at least no need to show hubby the palm for money mah :P.

to make you feel better, tell you la, there is one person who has not got his increment since YEAR 2002!! yup its been 4yrs, imagine how will this guy survive la…

maybe this will make u feel better: since I joined my co til now, the highest yearly increment I got was 2.9%…
aiyoh! yiwen, so carhm ah you?! Sigh! why the companies nowadays so kedekut har? Anyway, if you are refering to annual merit increment, then I am refering to PROMOTIONAL increment wor.
Not sure if this can comfort u even more: since I joined the co til now, I’m stil status quo: no upgrade or promotion whatsoever *_*! Sounds really cham right?? but I’ve decided long time before, that this is not going to stop me from enjoying my life =D
