I just shaved Ian bald on Monday.
It is so difficult to cut his hair, coz he is paranoid of the scissors and the shaver. The moment we touched his hair, he sensed it, and kept asking to see our hands for signs of tools.
As such, instead of trimming his hair, I’ve decided to shave him botak, so I don’t have to go through this hassle every month. I guess with this, probably can last me for at least 3 months?
But due to the struggle, even botak also a lot of ‘holes’ here and there. Ian really looks awful at first. Have to carefully trim during every bath time, and must do it not obviously, so he won’t notice.
All tricks were out, but useless: mirror, Barney movies, toys, holding him tight, candy, etc. Nothing helps. Just hope that during CNY, his hair can look better. :p

Don’t know why, ever since I am pregnant this time, I have been sneezing EVERYDAY, since around 1+ month pregnant.
The sneezing is really for no apparent reasons. At first I thought I was going to have flu. But it was not.
The worst thing about this sneezing is… due to pregnancy my pelvic floor is weak – so, during very strong sneezing, urine tends to be leaked!
Really suffer a lot on this. Maybe my nose is getting more sensitive to environment – that’s the only reason I can think of.
Maybe should consider using adult diapers. Hahahahaha!
p/s: when I was blogging this last week, I haven’t caught the flu! And this post, was some how, saved as draft, and was not ‘published’! OK, now my sneezing for no reasons has become flu for 5 days.
But anyway, the sneezing did happen for 4 months for no reason, everyday ler…

Been very sick since Saturday. Got the flu bug from Ian, who seem to recover much faster than me.
Never took so long to recover from flu - 5 days!
Now back to work, and there are so many things got to be cleared… luckily end of the year everyone else are on leave. ‘Only’ got 60 emails to attend to, after such a long break.
So many things I want to blog about. Got to sort out first… slowly…

Lately Ian has been talking in his sleep almost every night.
The first night was last Saturday (or Sunday morning). At around 1am, I heard him yelling something I didn’t understand. Slowly, it became clearer, and it was… “… seven, eight, nine, ten!”.
After ‘ten’, he went silent and sound asleep again.
Then at around 5 or 6 am, again I heard him shouting, “Nan nan! Nan nan! Nan nan!… “, with his eyes still closed and still lying down. But what really funny was, he kept pointing his finger upwards (towards the ceiling).
Up to the 3rd or 4th times, his hand gesture became more aggressive and hit me. That made him woke up.
He sat up, then came to me and pushed me. Now talked in a clearer manner: “nan nan, nan nan…”
In the following nights, EVERY night, he would yell in his dream, sat up – kick and hit me aggressively. I have to avoid him and don’t make any noise. He would then suddenly be silent and back to sleep! I don’t know what was in his dream, really puzzled. If I talk to him during his aggressive moments, it would wake him up and difficult to sleep back.
Been suffering a lot lately, coz I just couldn’t sleep well, with his aggressive martial arts in his dream. :p

Ian loves drinking water. Sometimes he can substitute his milk with just plain water.
When he was still very small, when he first started learning to speak, one of the first few things that he knew was ‘water’, which was frequently mistaken by my mom who doesn’t know English, as ‘我的’ (mine)!
When he asks for water to drink, he likes to say it in 3 times:
“Water, water, water!”
As a result of his frequent drink of water (and large volume), he also pees a lot.
He can drink the whole 9oz of plain water when he is about to sleep. There is no way I can stop him, or he will be very angry.
He pees so much at night, that even Mamy Poko diapers also cannot hold his urine. Sometimes at 6am I would need to change his diaper as it just leaks! The diapers, at this stage, would weigh like a brick!
When I took part in a diaper test survey, I was given 20 diapers to let Ian try. During the post usage interview, I told the interviewer how much leakage I had and how dissatisfied I was with the test diapers. She just couldn’t stop it but to tell me that Ian’s urine volume is just too scary (she weighted all the used diapers). :p
MIL said we should start toilet training him at night. But I just can’t imagine how many times we need to wake him up at night, given his frequency and volume?
Sometimes, he can pee every 10 minutes! Worse than a pregnant lady. :p
