Counting
Last Saturday after when I put Ian to nap…
Ian: “一, 二, 三, 四, 五…”
DH: * shock * * surprised * “What did you say? Who taught you this? Poh poh (grandma)?”
Ian: “One, Too, Thi, For, Fai, Sik, Sewan, Egg, Nai, Ten!”
DH: * even more shock * “Wah! You know how to count all?”
Actually, since born, whenever we were in the lift, when the display shows the floor number, we would count out loud, as a way of occupying the time in the lift. Ian used to be very happy when we count. I guess he learnt the counting from the lift.
But the Chinese counting is definitely taught by MIL. One thing I really like my MIL to take care of Ian is, she teaches Ian a lot of things too. And she also teaches Ian during playtime, which is very good according to the experts. She also taught Ian to read – of course not to read words yet, but to induce reading habits, by reading papers with him and point out logos and pictures. I really like seeing Ian sits down quietly besides MIL while she reads her paper on the floor.

smart Ian!!
really cool!! einstein in the making liao
Wow..!! so smart..!! can match make with my brat or not..??
It happen when you put Ian to nap or after you put Ian to nap… It makes difference you know.
Crazy/Egghead/ MamaBok: Actually many said Ian is slow alrady ler… Some said their children can do these at 7month, can talk very well. And Ian is considered slow worrrr….. But I dont mind lah, slow mah slow loh, I still got excited with any of his development.
Jason: why make any difference? Anyway, it is when I put Ian to nap, not after.
