Easier Houston Trip
After being grounded for 2 months, the long waited Houston meeting finally took place last week. This is a much pleasant trip than the previous two.
This time, although I traveled with my boss, we didn’t work through the whole journey like last times. I slept through the trip, though not soundly, but I had enough rest. And we parked ourselves at the Hilton Hotel in LA Airport for a night, instead of waiting 8 hours in the airport for transit as we did previously. This really helps a lot. When I arrived at Houston I was so refreshed and I didn’t have any jet lag this time.
In the previous trips, I always entered meetings like a zombie, with panda eyes and yawning all the way through, or even falling asleep when the big bosses giving speeches. :p
But what I don’t understand is, why I was still so tired when the meeting ended on Friday? I left Houston at 5pm local time, slept all the way through to LA. I even slept during take-off and landing!
It was so obvious that when I disembarked at LA, one stewardess said to me, ‘Goodbye mam, get some rest!’ and smiled meaningfully at me.
Between LA and KL, I also slept all the way through. I hope tonight I can sleep at home…

I sleep through any kinds of transport if I am not driving… time can really flies!
Sleeping on the plane..is quite different.. and the time difference.. and jet -lagged all that contributes to tiredness and soreness to the body. Different environment and water.. and air.. all these makes the body work harder to adjust .. i think.
So it’s normal if you feel tired.
fashinasia: hehe, travel on work is different from leisure ler. not very nice traveling on work, but I just tried to make it sound good to make me feel better. LOL! Well, I’m in market research line, for 8 years liao!
egghead: best way to kill time in boring journey is sleep! I’m glad my notebook battery doesn’t last, so I have good excuses not to work on the plan.
