Lego – Train Kiss-kiss and Hug-hug
I recently bought a tub of Lego for toddlers 1.5 – 3 years. It is a basic stuff; size is slightly larger than the ‘adult’ Lego.
At first I thought Ian would play it for just a while and it would be redundant after perhaps 2 week, just like the other toys.
I was wrong. Ian has been and is still playing it with interest. Probably because it is flexible and it can be just anything based on your imagination.
Last night, I made Lego into 2 trains. I told Ian: ‘Train-train kiss-kiss. Come Ian kiss-kiss mommy.’ Wah, he really came and kissed me!
Then, I told Ian: ‘Train-train hug-hug and sayang-sayang. Come, Ian hug-hug.’ Immediately he came over and hugged me!
So, Lego can be used to teach Ian how to love (me)! Cheh!

I’ve got a lecturer over obsessed over his LEGO collection. Wonder why he never became an pixel artist or something to do with blocks. LoL!
That one is Lego for kids.
And you call that a train har? Charm loh~ Next time Ian see train “differently”.
I love lego alot. I enjoyed playing it alot and I have alot alot alot of them. Then, it became a hobby, an expensive one and my mum (who else) decided to stop buying me. Eeesshh~! I love Lego.
Heh, another must play toy is LASY or LAZY.
I bought to SQ too..but don no y she seem doesn’t like much ler..she only expect in disassemble lah..I made wat she disasssemble wat..haii..
The only thing she able to do with the lego was..put the lego back to the bag..haha..good oso..know to simpan toy liao…
dannyfoo/jason: I have been longing for LEGO since childhood, and I have NEVER got my own LEGO set, not even 1 piece of it. It has been too expensive for my parents to buy one. So, now trying to get my dream fulfilled with my son. LOL!
jason: what is LASY or LAZY? I only know LAZY BONE. :p
msau: step by step, be patient. When I bought the 1st set of wood block for Ian, I was told to let him learn the colours first. Then the shape. Then let him learn how to distroy the thing you build up. Then later, let him learn how to put 2 pieces together – that is a very big milestone for young children. Then only last stage – build his own thing. Ian is only at the stage of putting 2 pieces together. I’m not sure he knows the colours or shape or not, but I am not worried.
